It must have been an error on my part making the backup file and restoring it via FZC...

Must see other boxes, if I made a similar mistake by chance... but I think they all work, so thankfully I did not have the time to do it yet... :cool1:

IF one has some troubles with username/password...

Thanx to a little lead from sandman and especially to a detailed help by celbun20019 - mystery solved!!!

I did not know that there is not only the main cfg file in

etc folder

but also another cfg file in

etc/enigma2 folder.

Now, that one does NOT have username and password and obviously it had primacy in Zgemma H9 Combo, for some reason.

I used a plugin called Dreamexplorer and I added my username and password into the other cfg and restarted PurE2.

Then it worked!

Delfi, Franc, please have a look at why it takes the details from etc/enigma2 folder cfg, over the one in etc folder, which has the correct details, please. In other boxes it worked OK but not in my Combo.

Thanx, sandman for sending me in the right direction and celbun for precise whereabouts of the second cfg.

Osmio4k new drivers, emphasis on blindscan fixes.

In 6.3 there will be/is newer ffmpeg and relevant gstreamer versions.

Filmer-fnc handles 4K content rather nicely (tested on HiSilicon boxes).

Make the settings backup (choose what you want to backup) and then re-flash, restoring backup afterwards is easy....

I explained how in some detail in Zgemma H9 Combo thread...

PurE2 is best! :)

Send them to USB stick, m8. Reasons being: not to overwhelm the flash/ROM, together with EPG etc.

Then choose the path via PurE2 picon path plugin, save and restart... Similar with EPG...

In principle, PurE2 has a little plugin/addon which downloads keys for OSCam Emu...

You mean VPN - search function here...

AFN on 9E is AU with OSCam Emus, with Zgemmas etc. - easily done in PurE2...

That's not "my way", I just followed an already trodden path - I just tested it and described it in detail...

On DNS - it's not a new thing, well documented, amongst others by me.

Virgin SHs in router mode are notoriously poor... HW weak... SW limited...

Virgin SuperHub 3? They come in router mode. Put it in the modem mode. (It will change the local network addresses to 192.168.100.x) Try it then...

If it works, add the router behind it. And an 8 port LAN switch after the router. Distribute around the house...

Try a different VPN (free), see if that works...

I tried SurfShark VPN with many of their servers around EU and wider (have you tried various ones?), with Virgin and BT as main ISPs, at various addresses and it worked in various boxes.... I even gave a box to a friend and it worked there, too...

When it didn't work I would restart STB and it would work...

Modem/router issues, maybe?
