So, use E-Channelizer... ;)

Without VPN is what I would call potential abuse...
But also self-destructive, from their side. Very arrogant... They keep getting busted but many are not learning... Sad, really...
-
No, this is the clever, right thing to do!
Find a more intelligent provider, I would suggest...
-
Look above for my Sticker, re. E-Channelizer installation and setup...

'Till you start getting love letters from various orgs.... ;)
Then, I deployed a VPN and peace... :)
If he is forcing you not to use a VPN he is harming both of you. The opposite should be done, for both your sakes, I think... From experience...
-
Kick 'im where it hurts... ;)

That's why we have these emulators on our STBs.
Remember to use VPN on them...
(Ministra gives you a specific MAC format, btw.)
-
In E2 these are emulations.
They are for Arm devices but they are not the same...
The best written one is the H7 (Broadcom), as it also has Ministra. HiSilicon ones do not have it.
-
You can copy/clone/change the MAC address in your network settings, either way...
But 2 different physical IP addresses.... dunno...
-
Uhhh...
Nice toyz for da boyz!!!

No, all is not in your sig, not really...
You see, other elements play a role, sometimes a significant role, too...
Like: switch (some are wasting less signal than others), LNB (from HW quality to skew etc. - no need to explain), details of the cable, like shielding, S/N ratio etc.?
And then, there is the master installer factor: his knowledge and experience, skills and instruments, time and effort put in, strong winds afterwards, growing trees in the way, spring and blossoming after the winter installation, jolly motor playing up and whatnot... All of those may play a role... ;)
-
No, didn't get it, I have nothing in PM Inbox, sorry...
And thanx for the report! As I suspected: it's probably about the HW...
But also about various times of day and year - the signal varies and so on... Dunno...
I lived in Parma for 3,5 year and my reception of 28E was dependent on time of day and year... With Gibertini 1,5m...
But $ly UK was doing these things deliberately back then, so if you moved 100km the signal was zero and 50 km the other way it was "full on", so actually I do not know for sure what the hell is going on with Ghana package... $ly UK was intentionally making it difficult for people outside UK to receive it....
On the other hand, you are somewhat closer to the intended area, so your dish is also 1m and the rest of your HW setup is? I mean, LNB, length and quality of cable, switch, it all plays a role...

Try E-Channelizer. It's the best! It should fix the errors...
There are various formats, like OpenPLi, OE-A and DMM.
Which image are you using? If it's OE-A, then Ciefp's list is OK for it...
-
H7 has Ministra support, too!
All of those are emulations, though... ;)
So, you can change your MAC in more ways than one...
-
Hmmm... You know, 8.86 dB (62%) should work just fine... But the discrepancy in images shows me something is not quite OK with your setup, m8... The signal oscillates quite a bit (H7 from 20% upwards and in Edision+ from 47 to 62%)... You should have a good look into it, it seems to me...
Most of the time (if the motor/dish is 100% properly installed) one can't do much more, not without a bigger dish, actually...
One can tinker with the installation, trying to pin point it, the best possible way (and you should, I think)...
One can change an LNB, skew it better, get better coaxial cable, shorten it...
But nothing replaces a bigger and better satellite dish...
Can anyone else compare the results of their setup?
Cheers!

OK, some things are now clearer... And some are a bit... strange... At first you reported only 29% of SNR... But OK...
I'll see what I can do...In the meantime, I need a few more things, please:
1) whereabout in the world are you?
2) what does blindscan find - on both of those boxes - with 2 different images on that frequency/transponder, can you check?
3) if one uses E-Channelizer to stream from H7 to a PC (VLC), what are the results?
4) which channel list are you using (just curious)?
-
OK, shall we get to the bottom of it?
If I have only 29% signal on a transponder - depending on other parameters strength/quality - I may not be able to see it... but at 32% I may see a channel...
So, can you answer (precisely!) these questions, please - it is important to compare allegedly non-working one (H7) with a working box (Edision+) in exactly the same spot, with the very same equipment, with the same 2 images in both of those boxes, with the same settings, EVERYTHING MUST BE THE SAME, of course:
1) whereabout in the world are you (in EU one should have a very large dish for that, from what I see - how big is yours)?
2) where exactly are these various measurements taken - is it with the VERY SAME dish/LNB/switch, the same length of cable, at the very same spot in the house?
3) different images you are using are OpenATV and PurE2?
4) how did blindscan work on 26E on both of those boxes with 2 different images on that frequency/transponder?
5) when one is comparing the Signal Finder tool inside the image and when one uses E-Channelizer on a PC, what are the results?
6) what does a professional who setup the system say - was there enough signal in the exact same spot where one is using H7?
7) ciefp & @ everyone - did anyone try this package, do you have signal for it, how does it behave at your end, please?
8) Is it in T2-MI: https://en.kingofsat.net/pos-26E.php (the details may not be correct there and I tried searching elsewhere on the internet but I couldn't get all the details properly.... I mean, I can see T2-MI is set to -1 but...???) So, just in case it is T2-MI, have you tried Dimitrij's plugin for it in H7? I can see Edision guys have put it into Manual Scan menu but I can't see it in H7 yet...
-
Well, cascco - can you respond to my questions precisely...???

Zgemma H9T, image of 26th May 2020, using a small, old 8GB USB stick to flash it...
Inserted 16GB mSD card (single partition, EXT4) > sent root / to mSD via pManager > Scripts... even though it was not seen by "HDD Initialisation" part of Device Manager section of pManager... Device Manager itself saw it, though and it got automounted.
I installed all the FNC plugins which work, Kodi, YouTube plugin, VPN Manager, DreamExplorer etc. etc.
DVB-T2 works just fine!
Streaming, using various plugins like Kodi etc. is fine! And I was using OpenVPN - it didn't slow it down!
Kodi tested with Exodus Redux, Live TV Kodi Serbia (flying!) etc. Subtitles work fine, too...
Some FNC tested and flying, too...
Not bad!!! Not bad at all! ;)More tests needed...
