I would not waste my time with either as it is outdated and unsupported.
Your time would be better spent understanding Oscam, I know it may seem daunting but its worth the effort.

Seems i cannot connect to the CAM for some reason

Im able to access the cam menu via gnutv -cammenu

which meens its definantly something on that divice im able to contact. But im unable to get oscam communicating with it.

Are you using an internal reader ?
/dev/sci1
/dev/sci0

Is it an error that you are not listing your local cards under the OSCAM SERVER header ?

HD has a better audio like AC3 dolby digital, on SD it will only come through as PCM stereo.

Without seeing your configs it is all crystal ball stuff!!

CCcam will decode from a server no problem but does not read local card.
Only reason for using CCcam is it has worked for many years but now is the time to retire it.

Sorting a m8 out today and confirm CCcam shows entitlements but does not decrepit the card with the latest images, Oscam works no problem.
Conclusion is CCcam is now dead.

I had a similar problem a weeks ago on a linux pc server, I just compiled the latest oscam and the problem went.
I would also try and rule out anything else such as, have you changed image ? or made any other config changes ?

Are you trying to setup CCCam or set up CCcam 2.13 within OScam ?
As already stated you can not run CCCam on ARM and it would certainly not be an update, more of a step back in time.

If you use camd3 it will show 0 hops and no need for any 255 tricks, I use a PC server to supply all my box's this way.

Use winscp and putty rather than DCC.

Can you access oscam webinfo ? This would tell you if it is at least running.

With correct AES and boxkey info the card will work fine including HD channels
You can find it quite easily with google.

Can we assume you have a mips box and not ARM ?

You don't need a patch, just the correct configuration.
