You will overwrite the current E2 image. Some people have a Spark plugin with TWO options - Red Upgrade and Green Backup. If you have a Green, you could take a Backup copy before over writing

As for the Juddering, that's the code but it requires Compiling. Just another day or two I'm sure :)

Many thanks. V8917 now loaded and working. I went with 8917 because it's had a huge number of downloads by comparison to all other versions since 8895

Can anyone confirm as to how a Timed Out srvid is ignored / not checked before it is checked again ? If a remote peer had an issue and many srvid's got tagged as Timeout, then I'm worried that they could remain out of the loop for a considerable period of time even though there may only have been a 5 minute blip.

I've been messing about again with Load Balancing and I started with the default config so things look a bit better now.

However, just one question about Timeouts. I have a Peer where there are a few stations that have now been saved as Timeouts. Can someone please explain / confirm as to what Config item is the one that determines as to when the station will be re-tried by OSCam if it sits with a Timeout status (i.e. Readers > Show Loadbalancer Stats)

    AR_P

    the best.

    ;)

Can you get it to stream one channel and watch another ? Hyperion is almost identical but I could never get AR-P to do it. Also, it seems that AR-P development has ceased - nothing since last April so I won't be expecting a Judder Fix from them.

Therefore, Hyperion wins over AR-P every time.

As Ghostivv says, streaming is the way to go.

First step - make sure you have two links from your dish to the box.

With decent wireless, you can go anywhere (certainly with SD). Use Powerline Plugs to bring an Ethernet cable anywhere and you'll have no issues streaming HD too.

Get an Android TV stick (like an MK809 or Equiso), install Dreamdroid and VLC, and stream straight to a TV.

Try FTP again but start by verifying like this

    Telnet box_ip 21 (telnet<space>box ip address<space>21

If you get a black screen with a flashing cursor in the top left, then it's working OK and so you just have some problem with the credentials or the way you are using the FTP. Have you used Filezilla ?

For me, there are two reasons for Hyperion now winning hands down

    1. Stability - It's rock solid. No more stupid unexplained freezes. No more trying to come up with more excuses for the missus !!
    2. Streaming one channel while watching another. This was one of my main reasons for buying this box in the first place. I can watch footie on a tablet when the rest of the family watch their soaps etc.

Useful tip for anyone with a second TV - buy yourself an Android TV Stick (MK809 or Equiso), load Dreamdroid and VLC player and stream your selected channels wirelessly

    1) Go into AutoBouquets Plugin and set Child friendly to Yes
    2) Find, download and install DreamBoxEdit on your PC. Allows you to pull everything to your PC, manipulate it and then send back to the box again
    3) Not quite sure what you mean. Maybe look at the AV settings in Setup
    4) Yes, it takes a few seconds for CoolTVGuide to load up - but it's worth the wait :)

Ts media won't update, is there any thing I can do to sort this
The rest of this image is perfect had it on a few days now and it's spot on
    Thank you

Apologies folks. I never checked what version it was. I see it is 2.8 so I've added 3.91 into the Rapidshare folder where the Image is located

    To install
    1. FTP the .IPK file into the /TMP directory on your box.
    2. Telnet to your box and CD /TMP
    3. IPKG INSTALL enigma2-plugin-extensions-tsmedia-oe2.0_3.91_all.ipk

Alternatively, 7-zip extract the IPK file into data.tar. 7-zip extract this data.tar into an etc and usr folders and then FTP the contents to the relevant folders on the box

    Reboot box

    Hi all,

I also use OpenTV and I have the same problem I think in that the DB says it was last updated on 31/08. I've tried to update manually and everything seems to work but yet nothing updates into the EPG. I have an Amiko Alien2 running CrossEPG 0.6.2 but I don't understand nor can I see anywhere about vhannibal or catseye motorlist. I assume vhannibal and catseye motorlist are sources for OpenTV - yes ?
