Thanks for all the replies, I appreciate all the help:thumbsup:

What (seems to) has sorted it out was following a post by ten below from 31/7/12 about installing a subprocess file

"you can install it via BH software managment under advanced options/packet managment then scroll down to python subprocess, install reboot"

I tried this and the file was already ticked as being installed but underneath it was another subprocess file called python subprocess support (I think) I installed rebooted and it seems 1 Channel has been working ever since.

    I'm learning everyday:trbtjrjq:

I hope that posting what worked for me might help others with problems using this excellent plugin

    Cheers

Thats perfectly normal usage for a linux system.

Linux works differently than windows, in such a way as it considers unused memory as wasted, Linux will ALWAYS use as much as possible only releasing portions when requested by programs etc.

as for using so called memory freeing programs or cache flushing, thats a very temporary measure and frankly of no benefit unless your box is suffering issues such as freezing up.

I see what you're saying but yesterday a lack of RAM caused my box to loose its USB swap file, not download EPG, crash everytime I tried to use BH speed up to disable unused plugins and generally be painfully slow when changing channels etc etc.

Since using the telnet commands all the problems have not reoccured

As the title says I need some help in reducing high RAM usage - Always at 95% - 97%. I have created a 256MB Swap File on my USB but it appears to have very little effect????

I used to use a plugin call LSK Free Memory but it is not compatible with my current image. So has anyone got any advice/suggestions for reducing this high RAM usage

    Thanks

Hi Today I upgraded to BH 2.0.3 and have had problems with plugins (Ten Below helped me sort out OnDemand - top man) Now 1 Channel which I downloaded from the BH server is causing my box to crash with the dreaded green screen (I have crash logs if they'd be any use to experts)

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction of a 1 Channel ipk file compatible with BH 2.0.3

    Thanks in advance guys

Well its partly my fault it took a little longer than expected buddy, i have that much crap on my desktop i rarred & uploaded the wrong folder for you first time round so im off to clean the bugger up now:snicker:

Glad to hear its ok now, got there in the end lol.

No probs mate, I wouldn't have had a clue what needed doing without you and I was doubting my sanity. You've saved the cat from being kicked round the room lol

Just noticed something, try deleting the ondemand folder & sending this one in its place.:beat_brick:

mate, you're a star. The new file in #91 worked perfectly. I really appreciate your help and patience in helping me sort this out, if I didn't use this plugin a lot I would have given up ages ago lol. I will back this file up so hopefully in the future I won't have a problem.

    Once again big thanks

After a reboot entering the plugin menu via menu>plugins ( not green button method ) will show you the reason that any plugin is not available, when you install via the telnet method is it completing successfully?

the plugin doesn't show by either way via menu or green button mate. Would altering the opkg.config file be a possible cause?

The telnet method seems to go through the correct procedure with no errors being highlighted but the plugin doesn't appear

ten below, I really appreciate your advice and you taking the time to help. I have used the telnet commands about 4 times now and no joy. I used telnet to instal ondemand on BH2.0.2 and had no probs at all. I have no idea whats going wrong but the plugin simply does not appear.

As stated the only way it does appear is by using the old ipk file but i need to add some files (one is called simplejson? and then the 4od file I think).

Thanks for the backup image link I will use this as a last resort as I have my image configured exactly as I like (except ondemand lol)

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but I altered the opkg.config file adding the line "arch mipsel 100" so I could instal rats channel and picon updater plugins

    cheers

No need to ftp or download any files just open a telnet session & paste in these commands.

    Code
    opkg update

    Code
    opkg install enigma2-plugin-extensions-ondemand

Thanks for your reply. I have done that a couple of times but the plugin doesn't appear in the list of plugins.

The only way I can get on demand is by using a really old ipk file called

    enigma2-plugin-extensions-ondemand-oe2.0_beta1_all.ipk

when installing this ipk file on demand appears in my list of plugins but doesn't have 4OD

very strange. If you know how I can add 4OD to this version I would be grateful, I know I need to add a couple of files through ftp

Hi, After upgrading to the latest BH image 2.0.3 I can't get the OnDemand plugin to work at all or even show in the list of plugins - I have tried the telnet commands,

ftp'ing the latest file to usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/extensions

but it does not show in the list of plugins

Could someone please point me in the right direction as I really like this plugin.

    cheers

I have installed Aiplayer 0.3.1 on my duo running BH 2.0.1 but my iphone does not see E2 Airplayer when I push the airplay icon. I get a message that Airplayer is running on the box but it doesn't appear in iphone or itunes.

I've got the interface set to eth0 as I'm using a wired connection.

    Any help/suggestions welcome
