Thanks a whole lot m8. As I mentioned at the beginning when I tried the DCC way I did not see the CCcam, cfg so now I am going to use the config program like you mentioned and see how it goes

    Hi Guys
Thanks for all the advice and suggestions so far. I have all the tuts. shown and downloaded the CCcam.cfg files by Ten Below and master G and I will tell you it is not easy getting the hang of this thing. Do I flash the box with a different image and start all over afresh by installing a new CCcam.cfg or what? If so do I install the new CCcam with the remote in the blue panel? Thanks

I have have just read the thread "CCcam.cfg file for newbies" by master G and downloaded the file. Now can someone please walk me through in the installation and set up of the cccam.cfg. Thanks

I did not install CCcam myself because after flashing and setting up the box, I connected to the tv and in the blue panel of the dreambox it says Default CAM = CCcam 2.1.2 so I thought it is already there. Maybe I need to install CCcam which I have never done before. Pls. advice

    Hi guys.
I had just finished setting up a dreambox dm500s receiver. I connected to the network and DCC. I tried to get to CCcam.cfg by Ftp/var/etc but I noticed that there is no CCcam.cfg file to edit. When I ftp/var/bin I get:

    Inadyn_script.sh
    openvpn_script.sh
    start CAM.

On the Blue - Panel in my Dreambox it shows that I have CCcam 2.1.2 as default CAM. I can get all my freeview channels. But the next step, CCcam.cfg is the major problem. Please can someone tell me what I am doing wrong here.

Thanks mate for the tip. Actually I had done it wrong. I had two c:lines, both good after test but I left one with a # in front and the other without and continued like that without knowing the implication of that. Thanks to the forum now I have corrected the mistake. Now let us say I have four c:lines, it therefore means that I must leave all the four c:lines without the # in their front in the Cccam.cfg. I hope I am right so far.

    Hi guys:

Being fairly new to cardsharing and still learning the ropes, I was wondering how to manage the c:lines in my Cccam.cfg. I started with one c:line that was sent to me for cardsharing now I have about three c:lines. I put an # in front of the lines that I am not testing and the line I am testing I leave without an # in front of it. Now after the test do I leave all the c:lines in the Cccam.cfg without the #. If I have about 4 c:lines do I leave them all without an # in my CCcam.cfg. I await your suggestions gurus.

Owning a dreambox and joining the Linuxsat-Share forum has been a great learning curve for me. It has put me in such a learning mode that there is no going back. There are tons and tons of information to know and so lots of reading must be done. It has its ups and downs. Sometimes it can be extremely frustrating. When you thought that you have successfuly set up your box and CCcam Config, only to find out that it is not working right. But there is nothing like the joy, relief, and success of getting everything to work successfully at last. I can remember the relief and the joy of saying "Yeah"! after successfully getting your set up to work. It is awesome.

I also realized that in order to keep up in this learning you must ask a lot of questions and be ready to read a lot too. I still have a lot to learn here as there are so many things that I do not know yet in cardsharing, receivers, dishes and satellites and I mean to know them too.

Through learning cardsharing and all the tutorials I have come to learn more about Networking,Routers, dishes and satellites. This is a wide range of practical technological education that I am getting since joining the Linuxsat-Shares forum. Every bit of this forum is helpfull. This has been a great experience for me so far and I am enjoying every bit of it. I hope to learn and know enough so that I could be able to help others.

I hereby say a big thank you to all the Linuxsat-shares team "wizards" for their patience and dedication in assisting people in this learning process. Keep up the good work lads. Cheers.

Thanks a lot guys for that explanation. Now I know that there are other factors invoved in good quality reception picture signal than just the important ping times. Please what is excatly "fast ECM" ddaddy? I did not know that ECMS have times too. Explain?

I have read in many threads and have been told by some Gurus that a Cardsharing server with a low ping time is very good. But recently I have come across and connected to lots of variations to this rule while sharing. I have connected to a server with a ping time of 75ms but freezes all the time with bad pictures. Also I have once connected to servers with a ping time of 132 ms and had very good pictures with no freezing or minimal freezing. I wonder why these diffrerent ping times in servers. Any one have ideas why?

Season's greetings to all. I have very nagging questions and that is: What is a Bouquete services? How can someone arrange the services in a bouquete in a particular way. Tips welcome guys. cheers.

Recently when flashing my dreambox dm 500 with Dream up as the flash progressed after I click flash, it did not go any further and it gave me this error: "Aborted by user. Exiting". I tried different versions of Dream-Up but I got the same error report until I tried the Dream-Up version 1.3.2.1 and that was what worked and I did my first flashing of a Dream box.

Does it mean that the other versions of Dream-Up are not good or not compartible with Dreambox dm 500s since it was only the version 1.3.2.1 that worked. I am not sure but I will recommend the Dream-Up version 1.3.2.1 for any one who had the same error report.

    Hi guys:

What exactly is an active c:line.
Also can somebody explain in lay terms what is meant by this permission at the end of a c:line or f:line......... no {0:0:2 ) or ...........no { 0:0:3 }.

    Thanks guys.

Hi all. I was just doing a flashing of my dreambox everything was going ok until I got to the flash stage. After I pressed the flash tab the green bars started loading and after a couple of bars, suddenly, I get an error message saying: "Aborted by user. Exiting". I tried different versions of PLi Jade images from PLi jade 2. PLi Jade 3 images and even the OpenPli Beta DM500 ArmyDream 10122010. With all these images I kept getting thes same error messages. I am flashing with my laptop as my desktop does not have the Rs-232 port so I used A USB to RS-232 serial interface converter. Also I am using Dream Up vers. 1.3.3.7 to flash. I must be doing something wrong to be getting this error. Please guys I want to know what I am doing wrong at this point. Thanks
