This should be debugged. I mean run PLi-7 in so-called debug mode and find out what's going on there. But I don't want to do it. It's been a long time. In addition, I've noticed that SKIN uses its own "Compontents" (Converter and Render) and these ".py" source codes may not work properly in every Enigma2 distribution. Once this SKIN can run, you may need to modify these .py source codes for PLi-7 compatibility.

I don't want to solve it here, because you should have started your own new discussion thread ... since this thread concerns the new security of the CZ / SK sat-provider Skylink in the Irdeto mode ...
... but what exactly doesn't work ? Failed to install IPK package ? Is it not possible to switch SKIN after installing it + restarting OpenPLi ? Or what doesn't work? How does it manifest itself as "it doesn't work" ?
-
Thanks, I use openpli. So it probably won't work?
Hi. So I don't know if it will work in every Enigma2 distribution (due to minor differences in SKIN compatibility), but this one could work :) if it's not the same SKIN package:
VU+Skin MX Maestra Black By-Matrix10-MOD-By-RAED image Open PLi 6

There is one small mistake ...
user = Receiver
You have the wrong dvbapi user name ... you have to use the name you also set in dvbapi in the oscam.conf file. So like this:
user = dvbapi
Also delete the "keepalive" and "pwd" configuration items from the dvbapi account as it is unnecessary.
CAID 4AEE is a Bulgarian satellite provider. I found in the discussion thread Bulsat card and receiver - Can i share it ??? that there are V1 and V2 satellite cards. According to this discussion, only the older V1 will work in Oscam. I don't know for sure, because I don't have a Bulgarian satellite card :).
You can still add priority to CAID 4AEE to the "oscam.dvbapi" file (but that's probably unnecessary in your case):
P: 4AEE

I do not see any configured connection to the local reader (local card) in the "oscam.server" file. Do you mean a USB reader or a built-in UNI reader in a set-top box ? Which Enigma do you have ? Which satellite/terrestrial provider or what CAID is it ? The configuration also depends on what encoding you use.
Or do you also have your softcam server and need to connect to it ? In that case ... is the configured softcam server (such as Oscam) correct?

Hi there !
In the case of Cccam softcam, these IPK / DEB installers are really crazy :). Just like the Cccam softcams themselves are crazy :). Each build / version of Cccam behaves differently. In addition, not every Enigma (Linux system) can handle properly starting a specific version / build of Cccam. I use my own launcher in conjunction with Cccam 2.3.0.
The startup script must be here: /etc/init.d/softcam.cccam
Then the appropriate executable file / binary must be here: /usr/bin/CCcam
(the most stable version, on my MIPS device, has proven Cccam version 2.3.0)
You also need to upload your configuration files for Cccam - they should be located here - for example: /etc/CCcam.cfg
(C: IP_OR_HOSTNAME PORT_NUMBER USER_NAME USER_PASSWORD)
Remember to also assign execution attributes:
chmod a+x /etc/init.d/softcam.cccam /usr/bin/CCcam
When you upload these files to the set top box (via FTP connection) and set the attributes (via the "chmod" command or also via the FTP manager, attributes with the value "755" for both files), you can enter the Softcams configuration in OpenATV and switch to Cccam + restart the uploaded Softcam.
If necessary, edit the "softcam.cccam" script yourself as you need it (arguments / switches for the CCcam binary).

Irdeto is just a way to encrypt a stream. There may be all sorts of security features on the decoder card that will prevent you from watching and sharing channels in the UNIversal reader. It already depends on the provider what security features it uses. You can try it. Almost 80% of Irdeto cards from various providers should work in a UNIversal reader (for example with Oscam).
If you mean the Skylink provider (M7 Group company), then this Irdeto Next card probably already has higher security and does not work in UNI readers. I dont know. The first "NEXT" cards worked in Cryptoworks + old Irdeto encryption mode (type "ICE"), but the new "Irdeto NEXT" cards from Skylink (M7 Group) already contain additional security features and apparently no longer work in UNI readers.
However, it does not depend directly on the type of device - for example Lunix Qviart. So if you have such an option, try the decoding card before buying a Qviart device, also in another device with a UNI reader (Vu+, Formuler, Zgemma, Octagon, etc.). If the card works in another device with a UNI reader, it will also work in Qviart.

Hi.
As for "freezing" ... how does it manifest itself ? Will the Oscam freeze process run in your set-top box? Or is there simply a problem that is also visible in Oscam Webif -> LiveLog ? Which Enigma are you using ?
Do not share an external connection to an external card until you are sure that Oscam is working properly. For now, delete the [global], [cccam] and [newcamd]. Then disable AU feature in [dvbapi] sections from the oscam.conf file. You really don't need AU feature if you don't have your own local card and you also have the AU feature disabled in the oscam.server file. AU is used to write EMMs to a card (AutoUpdate). This is mainly used for local cards, and rarely for external cards. So if you have disabled the AU feature (EMMs card write) in the oscam.server file, then also disable / do not use it in the oscam.conf file either.

Hello.
As first, find out what chipset / CPU architecture is in your set-top box: mipsel, arm_v7, aarch64, sh4, etc. . Information about the CPU architecture can also be obtained via Shell (command line):
uname -m
..or..
[ -d /etc/dpkg ] && dpkg --print-architecture || opkg print-architecture

Sorry pls tell where can find ( OscamWebif ) folder ???
This is not a directory.
In parentheses you have the URL Oscam Webif (abbreviation Web-If means: Web Interface or Web Configuration Interface).
Simply fill in the correct IP address of your device on which you have Oscam installed (IP address of the set-top box).
You can find the IP address somewhere in the set-top box - depending on the type of Enigma ... somewhere in the MENU, probably among the information or directly in the configuration of the computer network.
You can also find a list of connected network devices + their IP addresses in the WebGUI (Web - Graphical User Interface) of your WiFi router.
-
Peter85 this does not need to be done via FTP if it is a novice user. Most IPK / DEB installation packages already contain default configuration files, which are also very easy to edit directly via OscamWebif (http://IP-address_of_the_set-top-box:8888) --> Files.

Hi.
Of course, you can also move/delete/copy the picons via an FTP connection (use, for example, the FTP-client built into the well-known file manager - Total Commander).
When it comes to choosing a directory for picons, you have to "enter" the appropriate directory to change the directory path you see in the red field. The path from the red field will saved when you confirm the settings with the green button (on RCU).
BTW, depending on the Enigma used, it may also not be necessary to change the directory name for the picons. Or do you want more directories with different picon resolutions ?
For example, if you use OpenATV, you can use the same folder for any resolution (220x132 or 400x240). OpenATV automatically renders these picon resolutions. You don't have to change anything. However, I recommend enabling picon sharpness scaling for a nicer rendering in OpenATV Enigma:
press the Green button on RCU -> MyMetrixLite -> Other settings -> Enhanced picon scaling: Yes | Set picon sharpness: 1.00

Why don't you compile the latest version of OscamEmu on that VPS ? Although OscamEmu is a little more complicated than Oscam. In recent months, many BUGs for the Emu module have been fixed. Current Oscam build is 11677. Maybe it would help... I don't know.

telnet too: give opkg list_installed | grep oscam>>>>>enter
It shows you everything that is installed with oscam.
Then you enter:
opkg remove (oscam name)>>>>> enter
and do a restart.
Dream Elite 6 does not use the OPKG package manager, but the DPKG.
For example, to search for Oscam:
dpkg -l | grep oscam
Then, depending on the name of the package that found the above command, just uninstall it:
dpkg -r package_name

Hi.
But if you use external readers (cards), then the problem should be directed to the administrator of the softcam server. He should give you the right settings for your softcam cient (Oscam as a client).
If all the settings are OK, then maybe it will be just a small mistake - for example in the syntax in your Oscam configuration.

Hi.
As master G wrote, this configuration item "group =" is only used to filter users versus card readers (also virtual EMUs or external ones). So if you don't plan to share your readers, it's an irrelevant configuration item in the "oscam.server" file.
More info about "group =" config. item is here:
https://wiki.streamboard.tv/wi…Config/oscam.server#group
All info about Oscam configs:
https://wiki.streamboard.tv/wiki/OSCam/en
Or ... you are probably from Germany ... so there is also a German localization:

Hi. What does Oscam Webif -> Live LOG say ? What exactly is this long time response from ? Is it from connectivity or is it when communicating packets on a decoder card (ECMs / EMMs) ?
-
I don't know these card encodings, so I can't advise you. Viaccess should work in Oscam, but only under certain conditions and with the appropriate configuration. You also need the correct settings for the external Omnikey reader and maybe Omnikey drivers for your Ubuntu. I can't advise that exactly either, sorry. I do not know or use Omnikey readers.

Hi.
If you can't connect to OscamWebif, first check that your Oscam build also includes the Webif interface / module. You can find out, for example, with the command:
/usr/bin/oscam --build-info
If the Webif module is included in your Oscam, then check the configuration directory. If a directory is defined when running Oscam, with the "-c / directory" argument, then you must place the configuration files there. If no configuration directory is specified, then after startup, Oscam searches for the directory itself - automatically:
https://trac.streamboard.tv/os…owser/trunk/oscam.c#L1662
So it is also quite possible that there is already a default configuration in a different directory than yours and that a different port for Webif is specified in the "oscam.conf" file (the default port for OscamWebif is 8888).
You can also try to find the configuration via the command:
find / -name "oscam.conf"

Hi. I'm not in favor of constantly updating the Oscam versions, but your version of 11432 is hellishly outdated. Newer versions don't work ? Or why don't you update your Oscam to a newer version ? Slightly, to version 11669 - current version to date. If it doesn't work properly, you will roll back your original version of Oscam.
