Check out the Max Digital xp1000. It's a stoking box for the money. But as has been said you won't be disappointed with any of the Vu+ range either. Currently I have an ultimo and the new solo2 and previously a duo. All have performed well.

You say in original post that your box is genuine Dreambox.

If so why are you putting a sim 2.01 image on it. You need a genuine image.

Hi tommybo. If billythe kids mate does not take I will buy the box subject to an inspection. I am in Whiteabbey so just 10 mins down the road. I know he has first option on box.

Guys I was trying for a good few days trying to get java installed so as i could get CSP running. I followed many tuts on a few different forums but kept getting many different notifications as to why it wouldnt go on. I eventually got it on by using Webmin to do the install. From the main screen select the System drop down arrow in the left hand pane. Then select software packages.
Highlight the "Package from APT " menu and click on the search APT tab. A new window will open in the browser saying "Find packages matching" Type in Sun Java in the search bar and click the Find packages matching tab. It will find 5 or 6 packages. Select the sun-java6-jdk. You will be reurned to the main window and sun-java6-jdk will now be sisplayed in the Package from APT window. Click on install and 2 mins later you will be ready to install your CSP.

Reading from your original post mate

    ok
I am keeping this vague as do not want to break any rules.

Ok, after all my issues I still can not get subscription channels
I am putting in my .cfg file in the var/etc

The giga blue is enigma 2 I take it. If so then the CCcam.cfg file goes straight into the etc folder. Var/etc is enigma 1 boxes

Are you sayng that in csstudio your peers are still connecting to you but your connection to them is showing red? This statrted happening to me too in mid March.

I tried restating the Cam but it was the same. I noticed the debug.txt file was huge. I deleted it the restarted cam and back to normal.. I had a look at the file and the check.log file which shows this

    *** stack smashing detected ***: /emu/cccam/CCcam.x86 terminated

I have a script to restart it , which it does but no connection to others until i get rid of the debug.txt

The card that has the boxnation sub needs to be read by oscam. It can then be shared on with cccam. If its read by cccam and shared to you you will get the OSD that its clearing ok but a black screen. Same as Pick tv, some of the irish *** channels, premier spts etc.

Hi there, I have a debian server running OSCAM 1.20-unstable_svn build #6133 to read my 0963 card with Omnikey and CCcam to serve. I connect to this with my vu duo with either mgamd or cccam 2.13. Things were running fine till just before xmas but since then I am not clearing some channels when I should. It is not confined to specific channels but seems to be a random thing. I can still clear most others from the local card but the ones that stop cannont be restored by restarting oscam from the web interface. If I login with winscp and reboot the server all the channels clear again.

I know that CCcam can drop connection, thats why I usualy use MgCamd to connect but its still happening. I was using an earlier version of oscam before(cant remember which version)

Any advice or pointers to resolve the problem would be appreciated guys. Should I be using a differrent version of oscam? If things are working I tend to leave them alone and dont update just for the sake of it but I cant remember which version I had before or i would stick it back on.

    Thanks

Hi guys Ive been fiddling about now for two days trying to sort this out. I have used the tut on the forum, but it didnt give me the option to choose oscam at any point. Anyways the CCcam install went fine I have changed the bin to 2.13 and it al works ok. I have ominikey reader and have been able to get that installed too.

I then downloaded the compile.rar file for oscam placed it in tmp with 755 attribute and ran the script. Got a message that it may take some time and left it running. It then did seem to be installing and now in the emu folder I have 4 files. cccam/log/oscam and script. Basically i think Im ready to go I think I just need to manually put in the oscam config files. Where do i FTP them to in Debian setup? Thanks in advance
