Hello Diable, you mean that this plugin is designed for online playback from torrent servers and other sources (can I also add a link to a torrent file manually)? Is this plugin usable on the OpenAtv7.4 image for Dreambox920 UHD or only for the latest test version 7.5? Thank you in advance.

    Hello TS,

the receiver keeps working without freezing for the time being, I only watch IPTV from the list of channels uploaded by the DreamSet 2.4.13 app and I have also tried the Czech plugin ArchiveCZSK 2.4.7 for watching IPTV from the Czech provider O2TV.I haven't installed any other plugins or softcams yet. What do you think about it so far, what does it imply? Does it look like it might not be a defective motherboard? Do you know what revisions (series) of the motherboard were implemented in the DM920? I'm asking because I've read that the defective series with faulty mainboards was supposedly Rev. 0.3, but my board is Rev. 3 according to the information from the OpenAtv7.4 image. I have no idea if it's the same motherboard (revision) or not or if it's just a "display" of the same data by firmware "in a different format", that's without the zero at the beginning?! Thank you and regards...

    Hello TS,

after installing OpenAtv7.4 without additional plugins my device works without the freeze in the meantime, but it has passed a very short time so far. But I have found out that there were really a faulty series with defective motherboards in the 920 for sure on the Czech satellite forum Parabola, see links here:

    https://www.parabola.cz/forum/topic-100085/

    https://www.parabola.cz/forum/topic-100085/2/

that can be translated with Google Chrome for example.

So I need to wait what happens next but if the device freezes again so I have bought it most likely with a faulthy motherboard. Unfortunately a friend of yours Johnny_B has been unavailable already for a few months (from April of this year) to comment on this matter.

Hello TS, I have installed the OpenAtv7.4, I will see when or if it freezes...

Hello TS, thanks again. I went to the cottage today and after turning on the receiver it worked for several hours fine and then suddenly froze completely again (after about three days in total) and at that moment the receiver temperature was about 62 degrees. There was no crash.log file only a debug.log file (I enabled to create it and attaching him), which covered the time when the receiver froze completely and randomly again, but there seems to be no relevant information to my problem).

Thank you TS again. I have found out that this error occurred when I selected in the main menu Information/Tuners in my OpenAtv7.3 image where it said that the recoding item is set to NO and the transcoding entry is set to NO. This is the full description of the information in this sub-menu and after a brief display of this information my receiver partly crashed (was displayed so called blue death) but not froze completely as usual accidently. I don't think this error is related to the problem of my receiver randomly freezing so that I have to investigate further.

So, reading your description, it could be related to some fault on the image/software, your temperatures are 64-68° which is ok, and it freezes randomly (could let think about some hardware problem, but you need to investigate more to see if there is some common thing on these crashes).

    TS

well, thank you TS, I'm attaching the last crash.log file, but I don't remember what was going on at that moment, whether the receiver froze as usual accidentally or in connection with some specific non-standard action, unfortunately. But it is impossible for me as a layman to find out or figure out anything important about freezing from this file.

Well, maybe I will try your image later but I want to say first that I am convinced that the freezing is completely accidental according to my experience so far not depending on some specific task. Unfortunately I have never monitored the temperature of CPU intentionally before because I handled with information that there were a defective series (with the faulty motherboard) in about 2020. But now I can only say that when in a standby mode so after turning on the device has usually about 64 degrees and after several hours nostop usage above 68 degrees. Now the device works for about 2 days of normal use without freezing, but this has happened already before that it worked for several days normally. Sometimes I had to turn the rear switch off and on several times in a row before the device started working again for a longer period of time further (I did not checked the temperature of CPU at that time).

Hello Toysoft, I use OpenAtv, first 6.3 then 6.4 and now 7.3 because it is the only one verified image beside Dream Elite 7.1 and GP 4 according to the e-shop retailer on which the local Czech made plugin ArchiveCZ/SK with the inner addon O2TV 2.0 for replaying/streaming local IPTV provider i.e. O2 TV works. But according to that I have read on the net it should not be probably a problem? Are you sure TS that the before mentioned a defective series of Dreamboxes with defective motherboard was related to Dreambox 900 and not 920?! I am still waiting for Johnny_B replay. Jalajala, are you sure that the high temperature is not the problem and that fan doesn't help here?! Some other people point to high temperature as a possible cause of my problem or have you also heard of a certain series with a Dreambox 920 (from about 2020) with a faulty motherboard? Thank you much in advance.

Hello, please can you anybody give me an advise where to buy a new motherboard for this type of a box? Unfortunately I have bought a specimen with a defective motherboard (it constantly freezes even in standby mode) and I'm sure it's from a defective series that is known to have a defect on the motherboard. Is it possible to get this original working motherboard anywhere and how difficult is it to replace it? Thank you for an answer in advance...Pruducer the Dream Property GmbH, Lünen, Germany did not respond to my inquiry about the defective motherboard at all?!

    dmm-tv have spare parts:

OK, thank you much Toysoft for your explanation, I am now waiting for Johnny B. to answer to my message how you advised me...

Hello piterfree, thank you for answering me, so according to your answer to my thread you think that too high temperature of CPU of my Dreambox could be the cause of frequent total freeezing of my device rather than a certain defective production run with a defective motherboard how I have read at some resources on the net that there was a problem with motherboard in a production run in about 2020? For example this morning's temperature of my device when I turned it on after night standby mode was about 64 degrees. It is normal or indicate it something wrong? Thank you
