    Do not get a third homeplug, homeplugs work like old network hubs not like modern day network switches, network hubs are obsolete as they drastically slow your whole network the more devices you connect

    Champion, I've tweaked your image and installed it in a few boxes but one box in particular has a problem with tuning terrestrial, on Irish Saorview it will only pull in one mux or the other, never both. Was there ever a fix? I think the problem lies with the fact that this box was not scanned for terrestrial before I ran the software update, any that were scanned then updated seem to work fine. I've tried copying over the terrestrial.xml and lamedb from a working box but it's not working, think I'll need to re-flash.

    If the plugin isn't seeing the kernel you have the plugin looking in root for the files, change the path to inside the enigma2 folder and select by pressing red, then press red to upgrade

    Tried this image champion and although it's nice and snappy I had a few issues.


    I use SPDIF and had to replace the audio.elf to fix sound dropouts and delays.
    I cannot tune terrestrial channels in this image, even by frequency, no matter what I try. Can tune them in every other image with bandwidth set to 8mhz.
    Also, the keymap is messed up, there is no button mapped to +24hrs in CrossEPG (major showstopper with the missis).

    If only I could change my vote, HDMU was the best at the time but PKT Hyperion V2 is now the best image, it's rock solid with no judder and you can update it in the bluepanel without re-flashing, I now have a 100% stable box with everything working. Winner by a mile!!!!

    Just because it's the first image with the fix, expect other images to have it very soon. I didn't like Hybrid, the plugins menu is broken, you cannot download plugins by pressing green.

  • PKT Enigma2 Hyperion can't get usb key working for crossepg

    I have PKT Enigma2 Hyperion running lovely on my box but I cannot get the usb key working. When I click record it says hdd not initialised. I've telneted into the box and did mkfs.ext3 -L RECORD /dev/sda1, it goes through the motions as if it's formating it ok, but it does not work and still shows as fat32 when i fdisk

    OP, you can change all eps values to 45 in /etc/lircd.conf. Mine is much more responsive now

    It was buggy a few months ago, but HDMU is rock solid now, recording multiple sources, timeshift, streaming, everything works 100%. You obviously haven't got one

    I found it, it's now a plugin that I needed to download. I'm not as happy with it as I was on the older image, DTS seems to be a much lower volume. I'm noticing much bigger differences in levels between DTS/AC3 and Mpeg. I'm trying to adjust it, but am not finding a balance I'm happy with.

    Are you running Enigma 2? You need to configure your web interface and set the port in menu-->plugins-->webinterface. Then on your laptop/PC you connect to the box with your browser using http://ipaddressofbox:port. VLC player will open the stream when you download them.

    After a full scan install and run the autobouquets plugin which will add TP changes

    • Extract dvbsnoop from zip file and ftp across to /usr/bin change permissions for this file to 777
    • Extract autobouquets.zip and ftp the directory Autobouquets to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/
    • Change permissions of the autobouquets_e2.sh file in the Autobouquets directory to 755
    • Then restart Enigma2 and then go to Plugins and you should see Autobouquets installed. Run autobouquets and it will create lots of bouquets of channels in the same order as SLY UK, it will take 10-15 mins.

    The advantage of this plugin is you can set it to run on a weekly schedule. You have the choice of whatever SLY region you like and whether you want HD, Adult and FTA etc listed
