I know this, I just don't feel like re-imaging, I just use software update to get the latest version
I'm using HDMU E2 on my Alien2 but it is has a horrible Christmassy skin for the HDMU centre, can anyone upload another so I can replace.
If you plan on using Spark flash back to the latest, if not it doesn't matter
10 hours and you've tried a few images, you really haven't given it much of a chance, have you. It's early days for E2 on the new hardware in this box, with a few updates it will be better. I'm using it as my daily runner and I've not had any lockups halfway through films.
Have you tried this image Nano?

I'm using it and find it very decent. It's not without it's small bugs, the box needs an E2 restart daily, but with all it's plugins (autobouquets, crossepg, cool TV guide, autotimers) it's a great experience that makes it worth it. I can use all 3 tuners at the same time, no problem. I can record 2x HD DVB-S feeds and watch or stream DVB-T at the same time. It's working as it should
Also, to flash E2 use the e2upgrade plugin, this allows you use any usb key and flash from within Spark. It's even passed the Missis test for usability, which says a lot. See my guide on setting it up (hope the mods don't mind posting a link to elsewhere):

You'll need to use Oscam
The easy way is with Filezilla, navigate to the file, then change it's permissions
Here is a link to one of the crash logs: D9w2gCp7. It's reproducible, I can make it happen everytime

I've discovered a recording bug, if you set 2 timers to record on satellite at overlapping times and you are on another satellite channel when the second starts recording the box will crash and not change to the second channel to record. It causes a bootloop until the timer expires. If the box is on one of the recording satellite channels or on the third terrestrial tuner it is fine.
There is also a bug in CrossEpg, it's very similar to what's described in this post, where it reverts to internal storage
[DM800SE] Fix for CrossEPG reverting to Internal Flash
I will try now, will I lose all my settings?
I was using the Enigmanoid app on my phone and clicked screenshot, now my box won't boot to E2 at all. It goes throught he motions of booting but shutsdown instantly. I can boot the box to Spark alright and can FTP from in there. Where is the log file? Anyone have any idea how to fix this?
I figured it, not sure if I have a faulty box or a bug. I've had problems with the usb drives, (both mechanical and pen drives) on Spark and now E2.When i full reboot with the box usb drive inserted I have problems with it, it does not mount cleanly and gives poor speeds in Spark speed test. If I remove and re-mount it while running it works fine and I get EPG as it's stored on the drive. All is fine until I do a full shutdown......
Hi, anyone here get all channel epg's working for Sly UK, I only can get some channels, most of the main ones only show now and next. I've tried both open tv and xmltv. If someone here has it working fine could they please let me know what provider and settings
You sir are a gentleman, thank you kindly
Hi,
I'm running HDMU_1447_E2_spark7162_211_git_5038_nodebug_nolcd_ Diff0_ffm_Flash on an Alien 2 and I'd like to use the autobouquets but it will not run because dvbsnoop is not installed. The "opkg update && opkg install dvbsnoop" command fails to install it, how do I get it?
Thanks in advance
