Hi there,
Does anyone know of an android app that could be used for connecting to a VU Duo 2?
I know there are several apps out there but each one is very specific.
I just want to be able to connect to the duo 2 and modify the cccam.cfg file via my Samsung Galaxy phone.
I have tried a few FTP apps but none appear to work.
Has anyone out there managed to get one of these to work?

Hi there....I have a Vu duo 2 box and find it excellent.
I am considering going down the iptv route but will can that if the box isn't really up to it.
Has anyone got iptv running on their Vu duo 2 and if so,what is the quality etc like.
Is the box powerful enough to receive jitter free streaming?
Would the quality be as good as a mag254 for instance?

Hi master g.....I will check it out when I get a chance,it crashed the box when I uploaded the open black hole from earlier on in the year.
I tried everything I could think of then but was unable to prevent Ondemand from crashing when opening up.
I was only wondering if this image was able to handle Ondemand if someone had it already installed.
Looks like a great image though so will give it a shot over the next few weeks...thanks for your input.

try this command in TELNET bud:
Codeinit 4 && opkg update && opkg install enigma2-plugin-extensions-ondemand && init 3
restart the box if it doesnt automatically..

Hi cazuela,unfortunately after telnet the command you gave me,the green screen still occurs .
I have tried all subsections of rte player and the same green screen occurs,I also changed skins with the same result.
Any other ideas out there...thanks a million

I downloaded master g backup open blackhole image and was unable to get the Ondemand working on my Vu duo 2.
I keep getting a green screen and the box reboots.
I uninstalled it and reinstalled Italian but the same thing happens.
Everything else works perfectly.
I also reinstalled the image to no effect either.
Has anyone got any ideas to get this working as the missus loves the players when she comes home from work.

Hi there,I recently installed the latest open blackhole image backup and its a great image,especially with the sly skin.
However,every time I try to run the Ondemand the green screen of death occurs.
I have changed skin,uninstalled/reinstalled the plugin etc all to no avail.
I was wondering if this is an overall problem specifically to open black hole as the earlier versions of blackhole worked fine for Ondemand.
Is it a coding thing?
Can anyone way more knowledgeable than me check it out,would be great if yee could.

Hi masterg....just an update to my previous quote....I eventually got the second channel to work while recording one channel by deleting and reinstalling the cams several times???....I have no idea why but that worked for me and I have verified it several times over the last few days....I have also rebooted the box and it also still works when fully booted up.
I eventually got ccam 2.3.0 working and is now running that.
The only problem currently outstanding is as indicated earlier the Ondemand keeps crashing the box.
I have uninstalled/installed the pluging a few times also but no joy here.
Is it possible that this could be fixed in the next open BH release,or some mods to the existing plugin?

Regarding oscom,I have never used this before so I am unfamiliar with it,I will see if I will be allowed to convert that tomorrow.
By the way,if you have this image running,are you able to record one pay channel and watch another on the duo2?...thanks again for your help.

I posed the question to the BH team and this was the answer:
From version 2.15, there are problems with the new kernel
I'll direct as ever.
I asked all the staff to carry out tests of recording SAT + DVB-T (or USB Vu + P & P) in the most absurd or intersections registration (some have SCR, other LNB universal dual, actually a hardware varied).
The results were all positive.
It 'came out, however, an interesting detail: WITH SOME EMULATORS HAS' MADE THE "PROBLEM" YOU REPORTED.
The tests, REMEMBER TO ALL, or must be made with the image or with an official Vu + BH smooth.
Any "problems" that occur after the addition of third-party software components (read EMULATORS) are not the responsibility of BH or Vu + but only to developers of such software elements
Hi robijay,thanks for getting back to me on my problem,so I take it that there is effectively nothing I can do for the moment only to go back to BH214 if I want to record one channel and watch another....is this correct or have I misinterpreted above?
If this is the case,do you forecee a fix for this in the near future?

The reason I ask is that I currently have another blackhole image most recent download that has this problem....I have never seen this before over the four years of so with different BH images,I have received help but I still can't resolve it.
My setup is fine and my network has no issues...if your image can record one channel while watching another then I will switch over.

This image may also suffer from the recording problem using all CCcam versions other than 2.3.0..
You could reinstall CCcam 2.3.0, then try a recording with that.
Or try oscam, convert your lines to readers with CCcam2Oscam, copy this configuration into oscam.server file that`s in /etc/tuxbox/folder > Start oscam from blue button..

Hi master g....I changed the skin as advised and can now see the hdd as you said.
I am using cam 2.1.3 as cam 2.3.0 doesn't clear the channels.
I'm not sure if this problem was there when I installed the image at first as it's something I didn't feel the need to check at the time....I checked for the same problem now after changing the skin and it's still there....any other ideas?

The sky skin needs extra skinning to show devices manager, try one of the other skins and it will appear..
Which cam are you using while trying to record ?
I had the hard drive mounted already as /media/hdd. Press blue button twice > devices manager > Check the mountpoints..
You only ever need to initialize the hard drive once on any image, then it`s just a case of setting up mountpoints when you reflash..
Hi master g again,I checked what you stated above and when I get into devices manager nothing comes up on the screen,however I can record.
In fact when I start a recording I seem to lose the other two tuners,ie if I start a recording on itv and when I go to another channel ie either bbc (tuner 2) or rte saorview (tuner 3) all I get is a black screen??....any ideas out there as I have spent some time on this but unable to resolve...thanks for any help.

I did check that part of the hdd but it wasn't there.
I wonder if you could confirm that an initialisation of the hdd is required after uploading this image.
I was using blackhole 2.1.0 prior to this upgrade,however,the missus has a large amount of movies etc saved onto this hdd so I don't want to init if possible...thanks
Hi again master g...I have completed a full backup of this image now after making some slight mods to channel lists saorview etc,I want to extract this image to my desktop from the box but I cannot find in in the box,can you guide me to where it is saved to on the box,thanks.

Hi foLks...I have read the forum here about transcoding but I'm still having problems in relation to setting up same.....im not very savvy with this so I wouold be very grateful if anyone would post a basic (detailed )setup for me including info on noip address etc.
