I'm looking forward to alternatives arriving - I need just a bit more power before they're viable for my uses. The Pi has already received an update.

Yes, I'm using a modified version of oscam, downloaded from hXXp://www.ab-forum.info/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=21138&p=395911#p395911 (Google Translate is a lot of help!). I hope it's ok to post non working links to other forums. You'll need to register to get access to the downloads but I'm afraid there isn't one listed for i386. I configured this 6 months ago when these cards wouldn't work in a non modified oscam and stuck with it ever since. Maybe that has changed as I'm sure black_ship would have submitted the changes back.

You might find though that oscam is working and your entitlements have simply expired. Cslink only entitle the card for a short time (about 4 weeks).

I've only got the basic package too so I wouldn't know what to recommend. If you've only just got the card, I think you get 30 days of free access to most channels. Make sure you turn off the subscriptions because by default they subscribe you to all packages when you activate the card!

I'll post the web output later when I can - my mythtv box is using the tuner this afternoon to record non cslink channels.

And my config probably includes lb because I was trying to see if that would fix my problem. I mentioned in an earlier post that changing channel a few times fixes it until the next reboot but that was wrong, every time I want to start watching a cslink channel, I have to change to another channel first. It's then fine until I stop watching cslink channels for a while. It turned out to be a timeout issue in mythtv - the cslink channels can take about 20 seconds to clear so I increased the tuning timeout.

BTW Banny there's a typo in the cslink reader in your config... detect = noMe

You'll need a local linux box that can route the traffic differently depending on the destination, sending particular traffic over a VPN and the rest out normally. If you want a remote server to store your stuff then it makes sense to rent one in the US so you can use it for VPN too.

I'm quite new to this so my config is likely wrong, although it is working. My earlier problem, which I had before but had forgotten about, was because I'd recently rebooted my dreambox. After a reboot or restart of oscam, it seems to have trouble viewing the cslink channels. I have to change channels a few times before it kicks into life. Once that's done, it's fine until the next reboot. Any idea what that could be? It sends the request to the card but gets a channel not subscribed message back.

I've had a working caid=0666 config for the last 6 months on my dreambox 800se. I don't know exactly when but it stopped working in the last couple of weeks even though my entitlements are active. I'm still trying to find the cause but I thought I'd let you know as you may have the same problem (config ok but still not working).
