Sorry I'm being a bit thick (head scrambled).
I cant flash with any version of dream up ( I've tried loads). I get no ca message and when I acknowledge the message dream up disconnects. If I use the patched dream up with 800 repair or enforcer I get the file to big message.
I have a 800hd clone I thought the latest version was boot loader #82

Booloader version: Dreambox Second Stage Loader BUILD #59, built 20080509
Looks like the ssl is #59 is there any extra steps to upgrade flash from #59.
I think I need a #59 image, some how I've ended up with a #59 boot loader

Thank caz yip saw the same, but I dont understand why it failed after flashing

Well this one has beat me.
I can get it to fix the no ca then run the flash, but on reboot I get the "multimedia error".
For some reason I dont think its holding the flash.

I've sorted the bad sector problem, using the extras setting in dream up.
The problem now is it appears to flash but on reboot it goes straight into the "multimedia error" message on front panel. and on dreamup i get no ca in bootlaoder message.

"too much data (or bad sectors) in partition 1 (end: 00040000, pos: 00040000)"
I get this if I flash via web
and this
"No CA found by 2nd stage loader, please contact support at dream-multimedia!"
via patched dreamup

I'm getting 'no ca on second stage bootloader' in patched dreamup now. Anyone?

dm500 recovery: dm500 recovery
Here is some stuff about jtag, I think the playpen is a program you can run via putty or some other terminal type software.
Do at you own risk I might be wrong
EDIT.
This looks more promising.
