  • AppleTV Gets It's First Jailbroken App: NitoTV

    "It didn't take long for our jailbroken AppleTV's to get rocking with custom Apps. The first app to come to AppleTV is called nitoTV.


    nitoTV is a front end application for the popular mplayer media player. Using perian and Apple's DVDPlayback.framework, users can create playlists and add files or folders of their choice.


    So what else does NitoTV do? Well it's more than just a media player. Supposedly you can even use NitoTV to play nes, snes, genesis, game gear and gameboy advanced roms, view RSS feeds and 3-day Weather forecasts.


    At this point, you should be able to play almost any media file type. However, the installation process might have the unexperienced scratching their head. You will be required to SSH the files over to your AppleTV.


    While not everything is working 100%, this is still a big step forward for Apps on the AppleTV"

  • Dev Team Confirms it Has Untethered Jailbreaks for All Future Firmwares

    "MuscleNerd confirmed on Twitter earlier today that the Dev Team has figured out a way to use LimeRa1n, GreenPois0n, and PwnageTool for all future firmwares of devices boasting an A4 chip.


    Even better, all future jailbreaks for iOS devices with an A4 chip will be untethered. That’s a good news for iPhone 4 owners, as well as Apple TV, iPad and iPod Touch 4G users…


    For those of you who don’t know what a tethered jailbreak is, it basically means you have to plug your iPhone in your computer and run the jailbreak again. That’s a very inconvenient process to say the least.


    Hopefully this means that when iOS 4.2 comes out next month, the Dev Team will be able to release update to their jailbreaks rapidly."

  • iPhone Dev-Team Teases New Version of PwnageTool

    The iPhone Dev-Team has posted a screenshot teasing the new version of PwnageTool that will bring custom firmware bundles and jailbreaking to most iDevices.


    The upcoming PwnageTool release will support the iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4, the iPod 2G, 3G, 4G, the iPad, and the Apple TV 2.

    It was def, the VM broad being blocked, if I switched from 3G on iPad to wifi via my route I got blocked by the sie anti proxy firewall.


    Where about are you on VM i'm on the Cardiff headend.

    Hi, can anyone help since Sunday approx 4pm I've been unable to log into site on my Virgin media broadband I keep getting that the site does not allow access from behind a proxy server, but I'm not.


    Every thing worked until yesterday and this is the only site I get a problem with.


    If your wondering I'm typing this on my 3G connection and all works well.


    Hope some one can help As I don't want to miss all the fun.

  • iPad 4.2 firmware

    Anyone tried the 4.2 bete firmware in a working pad yet, very tempted to give it a go with the the Limera1n. JB. but dont want to bust my pad.

    The version of GreenpoisOn that was release in the wild has the LimeRa!n boot rom exploit in.


    The GP team removed their shatter exploit from this release to prevent apple from closing two Boot-Rom hole with one update.


    Thats why it did not get the much aclaimed released on the 10/10/10 10:00 the GP hack had to reworked and tested.


    There is alot of politics in the scene at the moment, the more teams / groups working on this the better and the longer the scene will continue.
