    Okay, that explains it for me. Thnx. What about restarting Oscam after the key-update. Any practical solution there anyone ?

    The script is running perfectly. Any idea why there are always 8 lines of eacht key at the end of SoftCam.Key ? Should 1 of each be sufficient ;-) ?

    A second question is in respect to rebooting oscam. Doing so is very inconvient, because it will halt temporarily the connected local 2 clients. Tried to restart/reload only the emu-reader, but no succes... Is there another way to do this without disturbing the other viewers ? Do you run an other instance of oscam only serving the SoftCam.Key or ..... I'm curious to know.

    I will add this script to crontab so it will run frequently. Only need to check how to restart oscam in such that the family doesn't get upset.

    Definitely, you can :-) Use 127.0.0.1 IP as a localhost, or provide proper IP if FTP server runs on the dedicated interface.

    Ok, I will give it a try again. Will check if an FTP server is running (don't know yet). Maybe the login details used were not necessary.. Thanks for the help!

    Hi mysat2 ( and all others ) me to have a problem with my Ubuntu ( the oscam crash for some reason ) but is not necessary to have the last from samur on all devices , you need to have it on one receiver ( mipsel arm ecc ecc ) also from some remote friendly receiver ; just set the correct configuration to the reader than you have 183E and set the dvbapi for update for this remote reader as the last oscam from samur is capable to send the https EMM gived to all local+remote readers !


    Thanks for this info. I will give that a try (although my initial intention was to keep everything centralized on my oscam server).

    No, there is no public ....

    but if you read well you will see that you can use 2 methods to update the card.

    Thanks for your response. No problem that this is code not public. Did I miss it or is there a compiled ARMv6 version with USB and Smargo support available. Currently updating my emm manually.
