You would use internal I.P if on the same local network. Otherwise he would need to set up a dns for you to connect to his box externally

You won't get a cline until you can share buddy, it how card share works

Look at the openbox section and download the latest channel list. There's also a tut on how to load them onto box via USB. Very easy

maybe they are on a FTA channel? if you have a box on your local network (home) connect it and put it on a FTA channel, see if your box displays blue also, just an idea but might be worth trying.

hey guys, currently i am running oscam with CCcam protocol on a 32bit machine,

i have got a redundent dual core 64Bit 2gb ram dell system sat there doing nothing,

is there any pro's in using a 64bit system? or is the difference to little to even notice,

also would it be a simple swap of my oscam files to have it running?

would love to hear peoples opinions pro''s and cons etc. not like i am having an issue with my 32bit. just curious more than anything.

The F line goes in the CCcam.cfg (in the server cccam.cfg not receiver)
An example would be

F: username password 2 0 0 { 0:0:2 }

The cline is on the receiver

C: anyone.dyndns.org 12000 username password

my first line was from my own local, and still is.

if you want to set up your own server you need to get a local card (subscription) remember this is a hobby, and there is much to learn but you MUST be init for the right reasons. you have come to the right place for support.

sorry to bump an old post but i reckon this could be very useful, is the above still in date? at the min i have 2 locals full hd and a proxy for setenta. i have noticed that if i am watching espn/setenta oscam will check both my locals (not subscribed) before checking my proxy (group 2) this would eliminate the need for checking of my locals if i set up correctly?

not quite sure what you mean by update yourself in the near future? AJ's is constantly being updated, so if there is a change in freq or whatever, the updated list is very soon to follow :)

in oscam.server add the reader. i can only use my own file as an example for you. but maybe somebody more experianced will be able to help futher....

there is a changelog with the firmware downloads, will notify you of bugfixs and changes

exactly the same way as you upgrade channel list by usb. but instead of misc you should select image file. wouldnt advise you to mess with firmwares just yet. get your box up and running first. and if you must change firmware. do a backup!!! (dump image to usb)

I'd you post your configs I am sure that someone may notice something am miss. Not likely to be me as I am new to Oscam. But stranger things have happend lol (**** out any sensitive info)

You shouldn't have to do anything except add a channel list, I am guessing it says no channel, once you have got box up and running you can change firmware etc, but isn't needed, AJ's channel list is a belter, just load that onto the box and your good to go (with uk local) you can then edit as you see fit.

Just add a channel list for whatever sat you want to receive from, you can load directly to the box from USB (upgrade by USB > misc files > select & upgrade > top option is channel list) but until you set up your server you will only be able to receive FTA channels unless you use your local card in the F3

Have you got a local card? (Subscription) at the minute you can get FTA channels. But we need more info on what you have/want
