    hey guys, i have just got my server running oscam with CCcam protocol, the oscam i am using is OSCAM 1.20-unstable_svn build #7149
    (32bit machine)

    i have tried a few different files, but none seem to work, so i have to go back to oscam.old. i am using ftp and have given 0775 permissions, but still no luck.

    how can i tell if i am getting the right file? i have a suspision i have been grabbing the 64bit file. :confuse:

    Sorted guys. Got Oscam running. With CCcam protocol , cache averages at 29% does this sound about right? Gonna update my Oscam build now I think and play with skins and Pickons :)

    Many thanks to everyone who has helped :)

    ok so i am still cracking at this, in oscam.server do i need to keep the top reader? or do i just delete it from my file? the one that links oscam to cccam >

    [reader]
    label = 127.0.0.1
    enable = 1
    protocol = newcamd

    thanks ten, left the users exactly as they were converted, but will change them now. and remote readers? as in the N;line supplyed to me? i have 2 locals running in oscam, (both have different labels however, but same caid)

    have been doing a bit of reading, i have also used the converter, could somebody have a quick look over the configs. hopefully i am not a million miles off,
    (the third reader is an n:line for setenta and espn. it converted like so... i am guessing i leave the originals intact?)

    Thanks ten. Will get my learning head on and read everything over and over until it sinks in. You guys must have a lot of patience to deal with characters like me haha

    Having gone over your example above. Things have started to sink in. But I have a lot to learn. On the strength of the help I have received (again) I will be doing another donation to the site, the learning potential here is unbelievable.

    True to my word :)

    Just want to say a thank you to wozbwfc also, your an asset to the forums

    still not got my head around this guys. i have dloaded the convertor, 14 f:lines and 2 N:lines (1 nline is the link to oscam yes?... i have 2 locals on oscam, and 2nd N:line is for seteanta and espn......from another guys server traded n: for n:).......... totally lost how to set this up. :-/

    Wow. You lost me completely there buddy, I got the general idea. So I can use Oscam only on my existing setup? Also do I need to do anything on the receiver itself (already active line in CCCam.cfg) or is it all done on my end?

    Thanks. I am at work at the min also. But always have things going through my head. Want to start setting up the server when I get home. No idea where to start on Oscam only. But will get to searching, not in a rush mind. Will use my old server till new one is ready to plug and play :)

    Hey guys, I am currently running a 32bit Linux unbuntu Oscam/CCcam server. This was my first server and has done a good job, but it is load and runs hot as its a very old and basic machine, I have a 64bit tower that I want to use instead. If I was to run Oscam only (as ecm's are high after broadband change, so getting shut of CCcam if poss) would I need to reconfigure my friends boxs? As they use cccam protocol? Or is there a way I am no aware off? Also is unbuntu the best OS with Oscam only?

    heys guys, i am wanting to update oscam on my server. ecm times just havent been the same since i moved my BB to virmin.

    i am currently running oscam 120 unstable 7209 (auto instal scripts) on my 32bit unbuntu machine,

    can anyone recommend what oscdam version i could upgrade to (thought i would ask as newest isnt always best??)

    and how would i go about the update? simple file swap......... or is it more involved?

    thanks guys.

    Quick update guys. After using the hub on its own for 2 days the ports would seem to close (whenever I would use my pc tower or even Xbox) so brought a Belkin d300 router. After setting up the connection was more stable (didn't randomly cut off) but cccam ECM time were still pretty high.
    So I then downgraded from cccam to 2.2.1 to 2.1.3 and everything seems to have settled down.

    thanks for your input, i have been looking at Linksys routers this morning and reckon thats the brand i am gonna go for, cant fault the speed i am getting, but think its a bit much for the hub to handle the speed and route requests maybe? will keep you guys posted on the outcome,.

    thanks again for you help/opinions guys.

    hey guys,

    when i got home from work last night, the wife told me that virgin had been and connected up my router,
    so i put my server back online and made a couple of calls to my friends to tell them to plug there boxs in, after forwarding the ports on the superhub i powered up the server and everything appears to be fine. but when i look at the webif for CCcam 2.2.1 the average ecm time is 0.800.s and have seen them go over 1.000 however in oscam my ecm's appear to be normal 90-120ms

    when i was using sly broadband CCcam ecm times averaged at 0.090.s :/

    could this be down to the superhub?

    i am using unbuntu/CCcam with omnikey and 0963 wired to superhub (same as before but without sly bb)

    any advice would be gratefully recieved.

    also did a sppedtest. broadband speed/upload seems to be consistant >
