  • VM super hub. help required........

    hi guys, on tuesday i have got virgin taking over my broadband (100mb) sly broadband is poor in my area, everytime i played xbox my box would glitch like hell.


    so i am somewhat confused, i have looked into port forwarding on the hub, seems pretty striaght forward, but then i have come acroos info that suggests to use the hub as modem only, and add a router for port forwarding? i have read so much into it that i have confused myself and have no idea what set up i need,


    can anybody give me solid advice on what i need to set up, do i need to buy a second router? or is it possible to do it all on the superhub?


    sorry for all the questions. but want everything to run right, i play alot of online games, hence the move to virgin. hopefully i wont regret it.

    hey TG thanks for the reply, the box i am using hasnt got any 1 0 1 { 0:0:1 }


    on my CCcam.cfg i have F: bedroom box
    and on the box i have 192.168.0.9 ***** bedroom box


    do you think this could be causing a problem?

    cant belive i am worried about update, next task will be fun, i amm running on a 32bit machine. had a 64 sat ther for 2 weeks with the plan to switch to that :/

    i will be making the reader names match very shortly (tonight) they expire on the 19/2 not a big fan of messing around with the configs as the server hasnt missed a beat since set-up. hopefully everything will be fine, just me being paranoid about messing the files up (although i backed up all files just before last expiry date

    hey guys, i have a quick question, my entitlements are due to expire soon, i have been looking into oscam webif. if i edit things via webif - like the reader name, would this effect stick ...........(change the oscam.server file?)


    last time i failed update as the reader name in oscam and CCcam files didnt match. i have been lazy and left the server to run itself 'if it aint broke.......'


    but the time has come to update entitlements


    i will be double checking my settings for AU. 'but will prob put in original box the day before unless it AU's via server.

    if the firmware is 5.1 you might have a chance. i had the same issue a few weeks back. dropped my 4s, was wrecked. insurance gave me option of another 4s or a galaxy s3.
    i went with the 3 and regretted it......... however the wife had a 4s and she liked the galaxy, we were on different networks. s3 was all networks, but the 4s was locked to orange (i needed 02) i phoned the original network with the imei (orange) and they sent the unlock code via email, only cost £15, the only downside is that it took 12 days until i got my code, as they have to run checks with apple to make sure phone isnt stolen etc etc

    hey guys, after doing a spot of overtime (not easy to come by in my place)


    i have got a few extra £££'s and want to invest in a new box, my slybox is pants to be honest. and clone dreambox800se went pop :-/


    has anyone got any ideas on a decent box. i may also get a motorised dish also. really getting into this sat thing now. but limited by the hardware.


    thanks. (p.s box needs to be user friendly for the wife, channel change etc, setup can be hard, as i will be doing that and like a challenge)

    think you would need an irish sly viewing card (fta or de-sub) and use that in the F3. you wont need to retune to another sat as the channels are on 28e but pretty sure RTE1 & 2 would require am 'irish' freesat card.

    wow, as simple as that? thats great. have told my peers i might be down for a few days (most likely will anyway until broadband is activated) but it nice to know is plug in and dns updates auto.

    hey guys, i have linux server, unbuntu oscam and CCcam


    i just had a quick nosey on my CCcam webif and saw something very odd.


    i had 13 peers connected (including my own so i could use as a reference)


    my active clients have took on average 9000 ecm.s in 20 hours, but 1 client, a work friend has took 29000+


    he is now taking 1 every 5-10 seconds (same as mine) so how on earth has his ecms gotten so high?


    has anyone any thoughts on this? i have given him no reshare (0 0 1) my CCcam is 2.2.1, webif says his is 2.1.4


    i would cut him, but i am not cynical. and dont wanna jump the gun

    what card reader have you got? and what local card? the next step could be a number of things i guess.


    have you set up a dns? have you installed your reader? have you forwarded ports on your router?

    hi guys, i have just been browseing my oscam webif. clicked the cache-ex but nothing seems to be happening?


    is there a manual set up? only intrested because when my peers all watch sports 1 (for the footie) its my card that take the hit right?


    no in a rush to set up, prob dont even need it as theres no problems. but on a quest for knowledge and learning.
