but You can always use os.system or subprocess and even call find with parameters. There is no easier way
Tehe challenge is that py2 is not fully compatible with 3, becasue language migrates to new features and security.

most of problems is missing curl. wget is not my favourite
i would choose vu+ or gigablue. they have CI and are available on most distros.

If it is supported by OpenATV and OpenPLI You can be sure it is the proper decoder.
Octagon/uclan have no CI, which may be usefull in future (U don't change HW too oft ;-) )
There are tons of names like gigablue, Vu+, wwio (very cheap). So IMO spend more and buy one for years.
Choosing popular brand also guarantee You longterm support.

what version did You try to upgrade? search this forum for thread. current public is
plugin_version='23.04.11.2158'so be so kind and type what exactly is your problem .

hi, under python 2.7.x, it's perfect for me too, but it's not good for 3.11, although it might be old (-fullhdglass17_5.14), I tried the version, but when I get close to the box, I'll check with the latest version
it was written few times py 3 works good on 8.17 version, not old one as 5.14!!!!! same page, just scroll up.

OATV 7.2 is py3.11 so it has to be what you're asking for.
you shows config of oscam, we're stocked on linux device. so lets make small steps, not jumps
on pvr with opkg there is libpcsclite1 library
dmesg|tr '[:upper:]' '[:lower:]'|grep usb what this grep over dmesg shows ?
if you can access oscam on port 83 using webrowser, you may try to set proper values in reader tab.
if you have local card in this box , edit one of readers which have /dev/sci0 , if it is local network card server, choose cccam client or newcamd (depends of your server settings) .
We still don;t know what card, and where it is located (slot or network)
ftp and you will know, by default OATV has 8888,opli 8081, most have 8888, try without asking it may be 83 or any other as well
take the remote and click as i described. there U will C your ip address of decoder.

you shoud see softcam group in plugins to download.
chooose any you want, then choose blue button in softcam choose one to start.
