For around £60 inc shipping you can now get a better spec'd E2 box which might be an even better option.
Maybe worth checking around the forum for other users opinions before you flash the cash as well.
Which one is that? And where from?

Best advice is to save up some more and get a box that can share if that´s your intention as neither of these can.
of course if it´s only to use as second box in bedroom/kitchen etc then check out which one(s) has more up to date support.
Also worth a mention is that it seems 28.2º sharing days are limited..I've already got a Vu+ Solo². I'm very happy with that. I thought these boxes could emulate cams?

Looking to buy a new box can some one recommend one to me.

I have installed this image. I cannot get the timeshift or record working. The box does not detect my USB flash drive. I error messages like hdd not detected or initialized. It does not seem to mount the drive. How can I solve this problem? -
Two questions
How do I change the spinner icon and bootlogo. I tried to change this via the skin mymetrix. After installing its still the same.
How can I install cool TV guide on this tried but it comes up with some error msg that it couldn't install. -

I downloaded the Dublin file but that didn't work the timezone.xml fix worked for me. Even updating the image didn't work although I didn't do a hard reset just a soft one. But timezone.xml is the way to solve the problem. :-)

Their was a problem with the lattest BH image for the Ultmo and the fix was to replace the timezone.xml
I've also had problems in other images with the timezone being +2 hours ahead of GMT and to fix that I had to put a file called Dublin into the root of a folder called zoneinfo
Where can I find the said file.?

My Vu Solo2 is set up for GMT. We are currently in BST but when i change the time to GMT+1 2Hrs are added instead.
eg. Current time 2200
My vu GMT 1s 2100 when i change it to GMT+1 it becomes 2300.
Can someone help

If your using autobouquet you need to enable duplicate entry's in settings before you scan

I have attached a ipk file of the Autoboquets plugin that I used myself to add the sly numbering, go through the settings of it carefully setting your region etc.
Give it a go, see what happens.
I tried the plugin but the format is 1,2,3 instead of 101,102,103

Okay I have tried auto bouquets and autoboquestmaker. I have tried custom preformatted lists. All to no avail. I cannot get 101=BBC 1.
Using catseye 1 gets me bbc1 but that's not what I want. The bouquets plugins used to work when I was using the VIX image on my vu+ solo2 but I am now on black hole 2.0.2.
I have tried dreamedit it and dreamset to manually try and change the nos but I don't know how to do it. Can some one help me. -
Ok, is this the Blackhole 2.0.2 c version you have updated too??
If so you will need to re-load your channel list, just updated my own there and had the same problem, just double check that your tuner config is correct,then upload your channel list via Dreamset or whatever method you use. This is how I sorted the problem on my Duo.
Than I just ran the AutoBouquets Plugin to get the sly numbering back.
Will have a go once I get in. But using the ABM. I am still not able to generate the sly no. Can u run through your config? Should the custom numbering be enabled?

After doing a software update I have lost all my channels. Am now met with service not found. Check tuner configuration.

When I updated mine, I had the same issue. Turned out that the settings of the tuner were pointing to a different satellite. As soon as I changed it to hotbird (my dish is pointed there) everything worked. Hope I helped.

I was using a BH 2.0.2 image (backup) everything worked till I decided to update my
System. After the software update all channels were greyed out. Changing channels was not met with a msg about tuner not being configured. Although nothing had changed, something had. Tried a scan channels found but when i tried ABM all channels were greyed.
I only use 28.2E at the moment. I would love a backup image with that config and the 101 number format which I am used to. Or how I can get my channels working and formatted accordingly.

Wow I thought this was gonna be straight forward.
I got my new Vu+ Solo2 Box today (I must say that it was smaller than I thought it was gonna be from the pictures that I had seen, anyway..)
It came preloaded with the Black Hole image preinstalled (at my request I might add because from the research that I did prior to the purchase it seemed to be the most popular. I don't even know why I requested that cos I normally like to learn how to do things for myself.)
So first thing I did after setting it up with the cables from my *** dish was to power it on and see what the fastest twin PVR on earth could do.
Erm well ok.. It took a while to setup the automatic scan and then took even longer for the scan to complete. Why you may ask? Well I had no clue what to do cos you see... there are two tuners and guess what my *** dish had two leads formerly plugged in the back of it. I my mind, the first lead will feed tuner A and the second will feed tuner b. Well if that’s the case (since I wanna get some 3'oclock football matches eventually) let me setup tuner A for Astra 28.2e and Hotbird and tuner B for Alsat and some other random one. I should mention that the dish I have is the standard dish and as you may have guessed it’s not motorised (I think is should insert lol here but some of you may find me to be rather pathetic so delete lol)
Okay where was I so as you may have guessed that didn’t work out too good I did manage eventually to get somewhere after and btw tuner b was not configured.
Okay so that was done channels all in alphabetical order some numbered or with no name. (Oh yeah as I am typing I am doing an auto scan for channels and I type like 10 words a min so you can imagine.. OMG why does it take soo long)Okay so I have FTA channels nice. Next step I want to use my existing card in my new box this surely must be plug n play. I hold my breath in anticipation as I insert my card ( which took a couple of attempts didn’t realise I had to push a bit hard for it to go all the way in no wonder I couldn’t close it lol) still holding my breath as I begin to scan for channels but Oh No just a blank screen no sound back to Google to ask how I can use my existing card in a new box. Well at least I am not the only one as the question has been asked before and the answer has something to do with CCcams. As much as I have read I still don’t really get CCcams but what I understand is this:
In laymen’s terms CCcams allow your box to read cards it’s not designed for (Please correct me if I am wrong)
