I have another idea: Open the Dreambox 900 when the power is off - and unplug the ribbon cable from the display to the motherboard,
wait a bit and then plug it back in, switch the box on again. maybe it will start now

can you please refrain from these ironic answers, I'm just trying to help
for me this method worked once ![]()
but I'm starting to think RAM is defective
please give this a try:
open the top cover of your dreambox, switch on the dreambox from baby switch while lightly keep on pushing the heat sink, if the display comes in slightly pushing mode ......then your box can be recovered by yourself, hopefully

please try this over telnet:
python -c "$(wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MOHAMED19OS/Download/main/Emu/installer.py -qO -)"
is self-explanatory
or take this file in attachment
If you can still connect via Telnet then try entering the following commands via Telnet:
mount -i
mount -o remount,rw /
echo rescue > /proc/stb/fp/boot_mode
systemctl reboot
you have other power supply?
klick on picture and you will see ![]()
To get to the recovery menu, use the following procedure:
1. Switch off the box
2. Press and hold any button on the remote control
3. Switch on the box at the power switch
4. After 6-7 seconds, release the button on the remote control
5. then you will enter recovery mode
6. then upgrade to Network Multiboot ok, select image and start upgrade

There has been a driver update that causes a problem when you get the new drivers via an image update.
When your box restarts after an update, your box can't tune to a channel anymore.
Flashing a new image (that includes the new drivers) is the solution for this problem.
It would be handy if you have a settings backup, when you install a new image.
If your box is stuck after a driver update, there is a way to restore your current image by restoring a couple of "old" drivers and reboot your box.
When your box is stuck, you still can connect to your box over FTP with DCC, or FileZilla e.c.t.
Copy the attached "old" drivers to: /lib/modules/4.4.35/extra
Reboot your box.
Now you can make a settings backup, install a new image and restore the settings backup.
If the settings restore create a problem, you will have to flash a new image without restoring settings.
I did not test this yet, i only restored my images by restoring the drivers
Thx Smokey
see video is self-explanatory
Please remove the HDMI cable from the box and try to get into the rescue again
It takes about 4 - 5 minutes until rescue, then about 4- 5 minutes again until IP appears on the display, so be patient
please try this:
1. turn off your box
2. turn on your box put fingeron "Power Button" just under red light and hold till it flashes a few times
then it will tell you the ip of the box and you can then flash it from a browser
usb stick is from realtek
try this over telnet:
opkg list | grep 8192
then you will see, what you can install, hope will work
telnet to the box
and enter the following
lsusb
show me what came
Too bad, now I'm at a loss. It definitely depends on the image
maybe is wrong driver, it's worth a try
telnet:
opkg update
opkg install rtl8812au
reboot
please try this file in Attachment
copy the .ipk file via FTP (DCC_E2 or FileZilla) to the box in the /tmp folder
Connect to the box via telnet and enter the following command:
opkg install /tmp/*.ipk
reboot
I think your remote control is type 1 and this type is not programmable
maybe the batteries are empty, or there is a technical defect
Unfortunately I don't have any other solutions
