Hello, never tried a vu+duo before, can anyone tell me if theres any known bad bugs in them? also can i playback a recording while the program is still recording smoothly? and do all timers works ok?

For stabilty and picture/sound quality the Golden media triplex is the best box around at 120notes with triple tuners, spark maybe not have all the e2 crashing plugins but it does what it says on the tin. Buy hey its dual boot so you can have all them on the e2 side anyway.

I am getting juddering on HD channels after further testing, so maybe not such a good idea after all. Seems looking around this is a common issue.
Yes this seems the same problem on all sh4 boxes trying to use 28.2 , as i understand the chipset makes are working on a fix, this only affects the enigma side so if you run spark, mipsel boxes etc the judder is not there. Hopefully there will be a fix soon.

Hi guys, seen this box on ebay are they anygood as a twin tuner for 28.2? and what chipset are they as im on a gm triplex suffering from the judder on hd channels enigma.

Ditto me and my friends has the same problem with every enigma image. I have tried the lot new cams etc no plugins still happens sometimes it takes longer up to 4hours to happen. Sparkside it never happens. We have the triple and single tuners amiko and gm boxes all the same.

With out being brutally honest i would get rid and buy a proper MIPS based Enigma 2 box. You cannot get a box with the supposed impressive specification of the Alien 2 for its cheap retail price and expect it to work 100%. Enigma was never designed to run on abox with SH4 architecture.
The only people i know who have managed to get these boxes running anywhere near stable are coders who know how to modify the firmware and have the experience to remove or add things that are causing the issues. I can't ever see this boxes ever working correctly under Enigma 2.

Yep you are probally correct, the old saying you pay what you get. Luckily i only paid 90notes at trade price for a gm triplex box and knew i was getting a half cooked box.
Spark side runs pretty smooth with issues on epg the main problem. But at full price of 150-180 its not worth buying the box people are better off finding the extra few quid going the vu route etc.

Nope my box crashes and freezes on every image, some images take longer to do this but always the same outcome, they all have tuner issues with tuner failed coming up etc when switching tuners.
So anyone got any ideas as theres a fair few people with this problem? or is there a faulty batch of boxes out there?

yep i have always had the same problem on enigma all images freezes and sometime its minutes other times its hours, spark no such problem.

Yep true what you say, i took the box back after a week but the trader said i could have the triplex box for 90notes so at the price knew what i was getting, Sparks ok but a glorified openbox at the moment, no way would i advise anyone to shell out 170-180 notes for the triple. The thing you say it needs someone from scratch to re-write the enigma side rather than people picking away at the same thing and re-naming it claiming its there image. Best thing is people not to buy these boxes and shell the 50-80notes extra and get a vu+duo etc or single tuner i cant fault a dm800hd had one for years does the lot flawless and the picture and sound quality is better.
Theres no way i could stick one of these boxes on the main tv for a family with no knowledge far to buggy for that.
Oh yes i was banned from sat station after a post similar to this lol.

Also tried extra cooling fans no difference, like i said spark works perfect so why would it be heating problem etc.

I have the triple tuner box also, tried every image/hard drive/cams the lot and it still crashes on enigma, spark works perfect never crashes, also get tuner issues switching sats on enigma. My guess is maybe its a triplex problem on enigma maybe tuner drivers.

No problems here, using hdmu on a twin tuner, what emu are you using oscam vizcam etc??
Yep twin tuner, many people have these problems on the hd channels on enigma for these boxes, sparkside is perfect just enigma crashes after watch hd channels uk for so long. Can you post a latest backup image so i can test it please scooter see if ive a problem here? many thanks Bob.

Seems theres a major problem on a uk channels hd, all images seem to freeze after say 20mins use, i suspect its still a tuner driver issue can any of the programmers look into this please? thanks Bob.

Thanks. I downloaded the HDMU image you recommended but haven't managed to get the tuners working. I also reinstalled SPark but it seems to be up to its old tricks :(
ok to get the tuners working you need to go to plugins and to settings and download reinhard.satellites.xml(1.0) this will give you all satellites. Also from plugins download from epg crossepg(0.6), then download oscam8110 (7.00) as that cams works. Any question how to setup crossepg etc just ask. Oscam may not matter to you if you just want freeview. To install hard drive look at the link below for this image

im using hdmu version 1632 enigma above, seems the best of the lot for enigma so far on this box. As for spark works pretty well i would do a factory reset and start from fresh installing the latest .61 version there is a 7day epg for each channel on its own behind the epg but theres a knack to get it to work, if you want info give us a shout and i will tell you how to get it working, the now and next where channel info is due to be sorted in the next spark version i have been informed.
