The receiver should boot to SPARK

Upgrade the receiver to the "spark_1.2.54 Europe" version (This is

How do I know which COM port it is??? I can't seem to get the 'PK7105' prompt up :/ someone help it's doing my head in!!!

Can anybody explain this any easier as I have the same problem on the same box but I cannot seem to get it to work, even when i open PuTTY it won't connect to the box it just says BOOT....

I don't think this has been asked before i done a search and couldn't find anything. Maybe it's a stupid newbie question but is it possible to plan a recording on a satellite channel on Amiko Alien 2 as the EPG is only for now & next? If not it is a bit pointless in having a recorder box if I can only record a half an hour to an hour in advance...as the terestrial channels have a 7 day EPG so maybe I am just not doing it right!

sorry i didnt read the rules section I have just been through so many forums the last few days I'm just desperate for a bit of help at this stage it's very frustrating when I don't know what I am doing!!

And I have searched countless forums including this one but cannot find a beginners step-by-step guide on how to install plugins and cams on my stb :(all the tutorials are way too complicated when you don't know what you're doing!

soorry mate i didnt even see the intro section. I got it sorted anyway I didn't know I had to press the timeshift key first before pressing record! not that anyone seemed to care to help as everyone just views the thread and clicks back!! hopefully someone can help me on the other problem.

I cannot seem to get my PVR working on the Alien 2 stb, the hdd is formatted, when i press record it says it is recording but when i go to find the recording it is nowhere to be found on the hdd or the stb?? i'm probably only doing something small wrong but I don't know what it is!!!

Alright lads can somebody help me out with a step by step guide to installing oscam on amiko alien 2 running spark? I can't seem to find a simple answer anywhere. thanks in advance, Craig.
