Vix should support wifi if you have a look at the drivers in the feeds , as for the rest i cant comment as dont have this box , take it its not a clone or it would be bricked by now im sure

Maybe the drive is on its way out ,have you tried to reflash and see if its the same still

You could try dream set , if its not for different satellites and just for lets say uk you could use autobouquets maker plugin it will genetate and update for you

If you want good support and Quality hardware go for a VU+ solo 2 the gigablue quad has more ram etc but you wont get blackhole on it , depends what you want the ability to have 4 tuners or more support , I would also think the vu+ would resell better when you upgrade in the future just like the older duo still being sold new so many years after its release

Acid test ,Take your box and try it in his tv and itll will give you a definite answer , it could just be a better tv but if you try your box on his tv youll know for sure however I will say that on my tv an slybox f5 seems to have a sharper picture than both my VU+ boxes and a venton hdx seems to have a better picture also not by a massive amount but the f5 is noticeably better .
