had an issue after the update , i saved my database setting and , lost ethernet connection had to go into network settings activate wifi reboot go in again and activate ethernet and reboot then it was fine incase anyone has issues , this was on f5 box , regards steve

at one time you could connect a 9v battery lol now as far as i know and ive done some trying no , it has to call back or it will turn off , best get a box setup at a relative ,or get a better receiver for the epg , better still trade the wife in

depends how you want to connect , ethernet is best as you will loose the usb to record if you go wifi and its unreliable f3 has component hdmi no scart f5 has scart hdmi and usb on the back whats better for plugging a drive in they all need a subscription , best not talk about gifts here as payservers are taboo , best thing to do is share your sub and get share off friends you make ,youd be wasting money with the gift as sharing should be free and you will be left high and dry when the changes kick in

6666 opens the secret menu to show your camd setup what it seem you have found ive never heard of anyone using avatarcam , most share is c line or n line on them , you tube and youporn are hit and miss on these boxes , mine work then dont and sometimes lock the box up , the newer image seems to be better though , regards steve

I have had you tube working no worries then recently it was locking the box and other times the video just wont load , then next thing its all fine and works again and all good and now its just not loading i think its hit and miss my f5 box is the same on 31/10/12 image

rename the prog.dbs to .abs edit and change it back to .dbs before putting it to the box

buy a dlink 615 router and put dd-wrt on it then you can use it a an access point /extender/bridge / what ever you want set Qos to your sat box as a priority you can bid for them as little as £8 on ebay and you can hook up by ethernet also 300mbs and good signal link

id have sworn by the f3 ive been well pleased by the boxes , have you not maybe been sold ones that have already been out and returned with issues , i know of about 20+ and none have issues , very surprised , im told the m3 has a better tuner than the f3 and is the same box same price

ive got 3 of these and now on 19/11/12 firmware had issues before this firmware info button will bring up signal levels , i do know they dont like wifi best direct to ethernet , only issues ever had was with share i was getting
