    hi all


    i live out in the sticks 4 miles from nearest exchange and my broadband speed is piss poor (0.5/1mbps) i have been reading about satellite broadband and getting mixed reviews people getting good speeds (20mbps) and people saying its good for a while then slows to dial up speed. its about £300 to install and then £20/30 a month depending on provider and package taken.


    does anyone have this in n.ireland or no any satellite installer in the belfast area who could install this if it is any use

    hi all


    i set a friends solo2 up with black hole but his wife is used to sly and cannot get the hang of using cool tv guide or the box. I was thinking of setting it up again for using vix and fraggle's sly skin.


    i have never used vix, what is the latest version to flash his box with and is there much difference to setting up the box with cams, plugins, channel lists etc compared to black hole?

    Hi am using black hole image so am not sure if this will be the same for your image.
    Go to
    Menu
    Setup
    System
    Auto language selection settings
    Change audio language selection 1 to English
    Prefer AC3 set to yes
    Save and exit

    Hi all


    I setup a mates solo2 last week his wife turned the box off last night and now he has no sound on any channel. He has checked all connections and still no joy Dolby digital is running but no sound. Does ne one have any idea what would be wrong?

    No radio but all radio stations are working when i press radio on the remote and no picons show.

    just tried to delete it using ts panel it wont delete. i will install the file browser plugin and see if that works, if it not harmfull then it can stay there thanks for your help

    i have found $RECYCLE BIN in media/usb does anyone no what this folder is or why it would be on the usb stick??


    the only things i have stored on the usb stick is cross epg and picons i have no idea where the recycle folder came from or how it came to be on the usb pen


    i only discovered it tonight when updating some new picons

    Go to menu,addons, addons download manager, black hole addons plugins


    Select permanent time shift then restart receiver


    Menu, setup, system
    Here you should find time shift settings
    All should be working fine

    I can't find it in menu, setup, system


    Or do I need to install it form linux sat support as a plugin

  • solo2 setup with WD my book live??

    Hi
    To setup wd my book live
    First create a new folder in PUBLIC called films or what ever you want


    go to network, network browser, mount points, add wd my book live then setup password etc on the solo 2


    Ensure you select my book live in network browser and then select the folder films so all your recording go to this folder


    All should show in media player or if your recording from ts media you can select path to record straight to my book live


    Hope this helps
