  • Starmax HD to return after closedown

    The Spanish prepaid DTH platform Starmax HD is closing down operations but has promised to come back with “a more attractive and technically more solid offer”.


    The platform was offering a line-up of 12 HD channels on the Hispasat satellite but has now ceased operations. Viewers needed to get a dedicated Starmax HD receiver, capable of receiving DVB-S and DVB-S2/MPEG-4 broadcasts as well as DVB-T.


    The service was originally announced in March 2011 and has only been on the market for a few months. It competed with Digital+, IPTV provider Imagenio and cable operator ONO.


    However, according to an ‘official statement’ on the company’s website, the platform plans to return with a better offer – inviting customers to come up with ideas on how to improve the service.


    Current customers are offered a refund of paid subscription fees as well as a technical software update of their receiver in order to be able to continue to use the device as a multimedia player and satellite receiver for the free-to-air channels on Hispasat.

  • 3D which receiver??

    also worth noting on 3d tv is the quality of 3d m8, as some cheaper end tv's supply glasses like the ones in cinema's and better tv's supply glasses that have batteries in them, normally if sub to $ly and have the full HD package tou get 3d as part of it ;)

  • Installing Neutrino HD over Official Firmware

    In order to install Neutrino HD over official Firmware please follow the steps below.

    • Download Neutrino HD software package which contains patch.bin and neutrino.bin fi le inside.
    • Copy patch.bin fi le to your USB Memory stick (FAT32 formatted)
    • Put the USB Stick into AZBox device and start the updating procedure trough Settings menu or by
    • turning off and then turning on your AZBox.
    • When initial software is installed, your AZBox will displayed IP address. (Note: for Ultra model, you
    • have to note the IP address from the Settings menu or from your router, as it doesn’t have display).
    • Run Neutrino Loader 1.1 (which You downloaded from Set Top Boxes, Media Center: High Definition | AZBOX) and enter the IP address
    • (which was shown before) int the IP address fi eld of Neutrino Loader 1.1. Press button Upload.
    • Once Upload button is pressed, Neutrino Loader will ask you to specify which fi le you want to be
    • loaded.Please, select neutrino.bin fi le from Neutrino HD package (which You downloaded from www.
    • azbox.com)
    • After this fl ashing procedure starts, please wait until Neutrino Loader confi rm you that performing
    • operations are fi nished.
    • When you get the confi rmation message from Neutrino Loader, please remove the USB memory
      stick from your AZBox

  • Anbody got a macbook?

    Right need some help guys, anybody got a macbook? My macbook been palying up lately in that it would keep dropping out while on the internet, though i had fixed problem until i switched it on and now getting a file with a ? in it, now the question is do i need to put a new copy of os x over it or can i some how sort out the corrupt files? any help would be good!!!!
