  • Hadu - CCcam DVB plugin

An option has been added to authorize or not the Node SID assignment/rejection feature present in commands 0F (see "UseNodeSID" option). The Node SID assignment/rejection feature will be activated by the server, only if Hadu is also declared as a CCCam client version 2.2.0 or above (see "Version" option). But, as there is a bug concerning the new CCCam "checks", declaring Hadu as CCCam client version 2.2.0 may conduct to an improper channel decoding (see the new workaround menu "Switch DCW Last Byte"),
    -support for the OSCAM Partner handle, and its Node SID assignment/rejection feature (the Extended ECM Mode is also checked but currently not used). Several options have been added to authorize them or not (see "OSCAMPartner", "OSCAMExt" and "OSCAMSID" options). Furthermore, when activated these features are displayed at the bottom of the "Server Infos" window, as for the build of the OSCAM server,
    -2 new features have been added: a list of ECM PIDs used (i.e. ECM PIDs cache; see "Hadu-Cache.txt" file), and a list of manual ECM PIDs (see "Hadu-Manual.txt" file). These features may be activated/deactivated directly from the main menu of Hadu (see "Cache" sub-menu, and "CacheUse", "CacheUpdate", "ManualUse" options),
    -an new column (title "Opt") has been added in the list of the nodes into the "Server Infos" window (to display eventual additional infos concerning the nodes),
    -all the log files (i.e. 'Hadu-Mes.log', 'Hadu-EMM.log', 'Hadu-PIDxxxx.log' and 'Hadu-Dump.txt') are now always put in the same directory as the plugin itself (no more in path indicated by "Keypath2", if this option is used). "Keypath2" is reserved for files possibly shared within several occurs of Hadu (like the files for the ECM PIDs used and the manual ECM PIDs),
    -support for Nagra Tiger EMMs,
    -TID and SID for the current channel are displayed into the "Monitor" window,
    -an option has been added when providers/ChIDs used within CCCam messages are rejected by the server (see "DontUseProvFor" option),
    -usual minor bug fixes and enhancements

    PlayStation Europe has released a free app for iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4 and Android 1.6 handsets, enabling users to check their PlayStation trophies, search for games, and keep up with friends' activities via their phones.
    The app is at first available in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands, and also allows users to catch up on news from the official PlayStation Blog.
    Future improvements are to allow commenting on said blog as well as additional language support.
    It precedes an official unveiling of a PlayStation Phone, an Android powered handset expected to see the light of day at the Mobile World Congress, February 14-17.
    Microsoft, for its part, has gone whole hog in developing an entire mobile phone operating system, Windows Phone 7, with Xbox LIVE integration.
    Nintendo of America President, Reggie Fils-Aime, was recently quoted as saying that Apple, with the proliferation of its iPhone and associated devices, is more of a threat to his company than Microsoft.

    Will there be a rush release to erase memories of the iPhone 4's antenna problems?


    Will the 5th generation iPhone deliver ultra-fast mobile internet? Will it ever end up on Verizon in the US?


    Let's raid the iPhone 5 rumour fridge to find the tomatoes of truth amid the stinky stilton of baseless speculation.


    The iPhone 5 isn't the Verizon iPhone, and vice versa


    The Verizon iPhone rumour has been around forever, and one day it'll come true - but it won't be the iPhone 5. The Wall Street Journal said a Verizon iPhone was nearly ready back in October, and we'd take that one seriously: the WSJ is the paper Apple tends to share its secrets with.


    It says that "the [Verizon] phone would resemble the iPhone 4 currently sold by AT&T, but would be based on an alternative wireless technology used by Verizon, these people said." Which people? "People familiar with the matter".


    The iPhone 5 will have a different form factor to the iPhone 4


    WSJ: "Separately, Apple is also developing a new iPhone model, said people briefed on the phone. One person familiar said the fifth-generation iPhone would be a different form factor than those that are currently available? it was unclear how soon that version would be available to Verizon or other carriers."


    The iPhone 5 specs will be evolutionary, not revolutionary


    According to the Chinese Economic Daily News (via AppleInsider), with the exception of Qualcomm chipsets - which would replace the current Infineon chipsets in the iPhone 4 - Apple's sticking with the same suppliers for the 2011 iPhone 5G components.


    We'd expect the basics of the iPhone 5 specs to get a bump - more memory, faster processor, more storage - but DVICE quotes a single insider who claims to have handled Verizon prototypes.


    The specs? A new antenna, 1.2GHz processor and a larger screen: 3.7" instead of 3.5". The iPhone 5 may also be made from a new kind of alloy, or maybe meat.

    iLounge said its source reckoned Apple would push the iPhone 5 release date forwards - possibly to January 2011 - because of the iPhone 4 antenna problems, although iLounge itself said the claim was "hard to believe". The source could be confusing the Verizon iPhone and the iPhone 5.


    The iPhone 5 specs may include LTE support


    At least one analyst thinks the iPhone 5 will support LTE, super-fast mobile broadband, in the US. That would make the iPhone 5G a 4G phone, which won't be confusing at all. LTE is certainly coming - AT&T plans to roll out its LTE service in 2011 - but an LTE iPhone has been rumoured for a while. USA Today floated the idea of an LTE iPhone on Verizon last year.

    If the iPhone 5 is an evolutionary step like the move from the iPhone 3G to the iPhone 3GS then we'd expect the price to stay more or less the same, although in the UK higher VAT rates may well mean a higher price tag.
