Am i have a shit load of .avi and divx movies downloaded from torrents, along with tv series and recording footie games!..
Would only be laptops first but must look into how to stream to ps3 aswell..
Don't have any hd tv's yet! Still only a young college goer lol..

The shell of the htpc is prob the only thing holding me back..
Wanted to put in a sat tuner, dvb-t tuner, 1tb hdd and maybe get an old laptop and use it too..

Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Nameserver: Ip of router
Gateway: Ip of router..
I messed about with images today and some weren't connecting for some reason or other and it really pissed me off!
Settled on a PLI image.. And it worked thank feck...
Your box has a fixed ip in your router ya?

Ya will be heavy so will need to account for that in the design...

A spiderbox connected to the "service+" uses way less than a 1gig a month...
So a dreambox wouldn't be much more!

Ok so most of the posts went missing after the crash so here's the update!!..
Got a lot of help from Newtolinux, Scoot, Caz and A of J amongst others!..

So i had a few ideas in my head and here's what came out when i started sketching!
Was advised not to use the *** arm though as the focal point of the dish would be out...
Also was told that all the lnb's would need to be all the same distance from the dish!
Also i was told center the dish at approx 22 east to get max signal for all 3 sats, 28,19 and 13 east...
So here's what i came up with:

Went to the hard ware store and got 3 each of these!
All connected:
Went and go this switch then (pretty cheap so hope it'll work)
Hope to get started as soon as possible!..
Must get some co-ax cable first!...
Have got some aluminium piping for the bracket!

You can get a new list for it or you could just scan in 19 east...

Just sounds like a bad image..
Have you tried a reflash?
Should work fine with a new image...
