I'd like to watch the V8 Supercars in HD instead of crappy lower than Standard Definition Motors TV. Not really sure where I can get a feed like that.

How is that possible as I've seen some people mention they can do that?
-
They can't do SD until their whole customer base infrastructure is upgraded to a level that would allow such a move.
What do you mean? Everyone can receive SD.

What do you mean a vix cam that doesnt work bud????
You have up to the most recent of oscam,, all the CCcam versions, mgcamd,,,,
The Team work very hard to keep and maintain the addons plugin so please explain what you mean and what you have tried..http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=45540
A while back, on Vix I installed the pre-configured cams via the LinuxSatSupport Addon but I couldn't get it working. Nobody had a solution so I just used BlackHole instead
-
I'm using the latest Blackhole 2.0.9 image. I would try another image such as Vix for example but the problem is that the LinuxSat Support Addon doesn't have a cam download for Vix that works.

So am I correct in saying that people actually using the old Thompson boxes (instead of an Enigma box) can no longer view HD channels? Unbelievable that Sly would force people to buy new boxes.
Why's it called sharing? I'm not sharing my card, it's either in my Vu+ Duo 2 or in my Thompson box, I'm not sharing the card with anyone.
So is there no possibility that the clever oscam folk or whoever, can get the HD channels to work in future?
Will Freesat HD channels still work on Enigma boxes?
-
I'm not an engineer and I have no wish to attempt connecting the wires from the dish to the box myself. I was going to hire someone to do it.
Surely someone here with a big dish can confirm if you get regular picture breakup or not for a split second on some recordings?
-
I'm sure you can answer this question yourself m8, can you clear any of the channels in post #2 on your VU+ Duo2
No. I'm a bit worried now. That was posted several days ago and the channels are still down. The SD channels are still fine. How do you think Sly are able to block the HD channels as I thought pairing the card with the Thompson box would prevent Sly blocking the channels? Any idea why the SD channels are fine?
-
Kind of defeats the purpose if I have to pay someone to hook up my Dad's dish to my box to see if it fixes the problem. That's why I'm asking here.
When and where did you ask that question? I don't record lots of repeats at all - where did I say that?
To answer your question I record all the UK soaps as I like them and want to watch them again someday and F1 and wrestling is also on nearly every day so I record them for the same reason.

I've got my VU+ Duo 2 connected to the latest Sly dish which is small. When I remove the commercials from a recorded programme with VideoRedo, the program tells me if any video frames were removed (it usually says something like 7 video frames were removed out of a 30 minute or 2 hour programme - there are 25 frames in a second of video) and it tells me what time has the removed frames. I then go to that time and I can see that 7 frames are missing because somebody could be in the middle of a sentence and then a word is missing because that portion of the video is missing. The frames are missing in the video before I edited it, it's just that VideoRedo removes the junk frames that contain nothing.
I record several progammes per day and I usually get a couple of programmes that have several video frames missing. Is this problem actually in the broadcasts or is it a result of my dish being too small? Sometimes I get frames removed so I record the repeat of the programme the next day and it doesn't have any frames removed.
The picture breakup can happen even on sunny days with no wind or may not happen at all on days with rain and wind! On my official sly box the signal box is almost full so the signal is fine.
My dads box is connected to a large dish from 10 years ago and he says he never gets breakup but then again he doesn't really pays attention to what he's watching so I don't know...
So I'm just wondering if I should connect my box to a larger dish or not?
-
Sorry if this sounds dumb but is this loss of channels only for those card sharing? I'm only using my own Sly subscription card in my VU+ Duo 2 box. The card is paired with my Thompson box that had component outputs on it.

I've installed CrossEPG correctly however every day it has EPG data missing for a random channel for a few hours. I have to download a CrossEPG update via the Blue button for it to show the full EPG data. Sometimes I have to do that several times before it shows anything. I use AutoBouquets if that makes a difference and I also have a channel list installed from the LinuxSatSupport Addon.
Is there something else I need to have before CrossEPG will work properly? I read this somewhere which is from a guy having the same problem as me which makes me think that (it's for Open TV but you get the idea):
QuoteThe EPG is sent on one of the channels on transponder 11778V 27500 2/3. Probably the one labelled "IEPG Data 1".
Normally on a full scan or on up to date channel list this transponder will be saved on your box and CrossEPG will have no trouble accessing it.
The problem is the channel "Service type" is now 130 or 131 and some (all?) images identify this as a DATA channel. I do not save data channels in my channel list and always clear them all out. Therefore, I did not have the transponder on my channel list at all and hence CRossEPG could not find it.
By rescanning this transponder and changing a few of the channels to Service type "2" RADIO (using dreamboxEdit) the EPG channel is now permanently in my radio channel list and CrossEPG works great again.
What is that guy talking about and how can I do what he said? Or can someone please tell me what I need to do to get CrossEPG working properly?
-
Thanks, I'll try that next time.
I know Vix has AutoBouquetsMaker but that's a different program and I've heard it doesn't work as well as "AutoBouquets". So I'm wondering if "AutoBouquets" works on Vix?
-
If there is a problem with AB atm then a temporary measure would be to find the frequency and manually scan it in/then move it to wherever you want..that way you are not relying on someone posting an upto date list.
How do I do that?
Was wondering as well, does AutoBouquets work on Vix?
-
I realize you weren't responding to me but I was wondering what you meant by "Reverse Order Deliberately"?
-
I downloaded the latest channel list from the LinuxSatSupport addon and visited those channels (not in Autobouquets) and they were working fine. Did an Autobouquets update again and then the AutoBouquet channels were fine. Very strange as I thought the whole point of Autobouquets is that it updates the frequencies itself however I had to download the latest channel list for it to update the frequencies.
-
I've downloaded the latest channel list from the LinuxSatSupport Addon and those channels are working fine, it's just strange that Autobouquets hasn't updated those channels yet.
-
I have AutoBouquets installed. It's been working great for months. However today I've got no picture on Sly Sports F1 HD (happend after 12PM) yet the Standard Definition channel is fine.
Also Sly Sports 3 HD has pixellation every several seconds or so. I don't have the pixellation problem on my official Sly box. All my other Sly channels are fine.
-
Why's that funny?
-
I thought CrossEPG might be missing EPG data because I haven't been restarting my box every day. I restarted my box yesterday and no EPG data was missing. Did the same today and EPG data is missing again, this time on Sly Sports 4 between 8:30PM - 11PM.
I only have CrossEPG configured, I have NOT configured Rytec Sly UK. Please guys there must be something I'm doing wrong here as nobody else seems to have missing EPG data on Blackhole.
