Hi daz, hd recordings do take an awful lot of space. To get an external hard drive you should contact our sponsors Creative satellite. Iv not done any recording with my box but iv read you should get a external drive with a power lead.

There is no way at the moment of using the openbox with the TNTSAT card. Your friend could maybe purchase a cam, but iv been reading that the TNTSAT cards may be changing during the summer from 3.0 to 5.0 viaccess. So there is no guarantee that any cam you purchase will work with the new cards

Conditional Access System Viaccess PC 3.0, used TNTSAT is recovered. Canal + viewers TNTSAT intends to deliver a new generation of card Viaccess PC 5.0 (current version 3.0, Viaccess ceased production in mid 2009). The new cards will have a lifetime of four years.

TNTSAT Clients are informed about replacing the card 6 months before expiry. The first letters with information about the draw, Canal + will send the beginning of July. The current generation of smart cards TNTSAT on the market since early 2008.

Each client TNTSAT a replacement card will pay 15 euros, which amount to cover the cost of production and distribution of cards to end customers.

TNTSAT contains all the free programs available in French DVB-T. The service is intended mainly for households who are in the range of digital terrestrial signals.

Have you tried the card in the box? What firmware are you on? What encryption does TNT use?

There is no real way of checking unless you enter a cline. When you enter your details andreboot the box it should connect then. If you go into the menu ,network set up, cccam config you can see if you are connected or not

thats the April one alright. Ive not noticed any lipsync problems with my one. is it very noticeable

To find out the firmware go menu/ tools/ information and look at the fourth line beside version. Post up what it says there and we can tell you

You are such a pain daz. Only messing dude. One feed is all you need for openbox. Sly + needs two feeds so you can record one channel and watch a different channel at the same time, it has two tuners. The openbox has just one tuner, so one feed is sound

You could load a channel list,then go into the menu and sort the channels into scrambled and fta. It only takes a sec.

Hi daz, all the stuff you need is included in the firmware. It couldn't be any easier with the openbox. Everything will become clear when you get your box. If you get stuck we are here to help. So, don't worry dude.:)

Maybe try loading the latest channel list. All the rebooting channels are meant to have been removed

You should have no need to go back to any old firmware. Is your box a clone or an original? Thats the only thing you should have to worry about. If its an original you have nothing to worry about. If its a clone there is no guarantee that this firmware will flash ok. You will also need to save your channel list so you can load it back on after you flash the new firmware
TO save channel list go to Menu, Tools, Dump to Usb, Misc Files and Chose TP_PROG.dbs
Press yellow to dump to usb
You will need to load the channel list back on after. Put the channel dump file on to a formatted fat32 usb stick, insert into box,
Go to MENU > TOOLS >Upgrade BY USB
Point to MISC Files then arrow down to SELECT & Upgrade and press OK,
Press green button to add TP_PROG.dbs

Press yellow button to copy the file

Have you set the lnb freq to universal 9750-10600 for both satellites?

Ya, you're right. Iv read elsewhere you can't set up a recording when you remove the symbol. I think I mentioned it in the thread where the symbol was discussed previously. Good man, I dunno would I have thought of that
edit: I just checked there, I said that it was meant to mess up any timed recordings, now we know it messus up pause also
