i think we are waiting now more than a month for this software to be released>does anyone know when?
Patience is the name of the game with this little hobby of ours. I'm sure it won't be much longer.

Did you get it going again.?
Power it off at the back, not standby. Then power up again and press v format till it comes on. You won't be able to load new firmware till you get a USB stick that the box recognizes, that's why the things were all grey earlier, the box hasn't recognized your USB stick. How did you load firmware before?
press the v format button on your remote, to get it back working.
You will need to plug your usb stick into a pc to format it to Fat. To do that go to my computer and find the usb stick and then right click and select format and then pick fat and start.
Interesting looking for sure
Hi alibaba
I've tried a number of usb pens and never got that message (stick connected) so is there a way to get the box to reconize the usb pen
cheers
Go menu/media/USB storage format then go down to hdd format and select FAT. Make sure there is nothing on the stick as it will get erased.
Does it say anything when you plug the USB in? Does the box recognize the USB
.
Does your box recognise your usb stick? Does it say anything on screen when you plug it in?
What lists are you trying to add?
Official Firmware (Europe) for Openbox/***box S10-- 23-05-2011
Pull out the sat cable and boot it up, then go to menu and delete the problem channels. Then plug the sat cable back in and power up again. This is the list i use TP_PROG.zip . All the problem channels are removed
Great news, thank you Ali
I'll upload a channel list later with 19 on it and 28. No picons with openbox
dont no why every time i change chanels the box keeps rebooting any ideas anyone
Some channels cause the box to reboot. There are a couple of ways to fix this. You can load latest channel list which should have the problem channels removed or you can delete the problem channels yourself. To do this remove the sat cable from the box when it's rebooting and go to the channel list in the menu and remove the channel.
Thanks for the update Daz
I'm not fobbing you off or anything but maybe you would be better off asking these questions on an American site. It's just there is no one here who would be familiar with these sats. We mainly deal with European sats
i have the us version with all satellite list, from 21/03/2011. I created the backup of channels and upgraded to this one just now http://linuxsat-support.com/op…2_cmt_110404047a-rar.html
and no, i did not buy any channel packages and i dont see any free channels
That firmware is not for Usa/Canada. Its for europe
I have to go to bed, baby awake. Have a good read around as new2 said and ill be back tomorrow evening.
its gone 12 now.
Heres the firmware for your side of the Atlantic
OpenBoxS9.us_Firmware_Lite_03212011.zip
