I had this problem, I have green open pli on my eagle. Channels would work for a while then die. I downgraded my open pli To release 1.9 22 03 2009. No problems since

Clone crap dm800 are going very cheap now. Iv one running a year now no probs
-
Meant to be be problems after 10 reboots. I would go back to firmware you had previous just in case.

I have mine since April last year when it was called a solomend 800. If you think it's a basic box now you should have seen it then lol. I'd just like to get it going again cause I won't be able to advise people in the future with new firmware s.

I've tried both USB and serial and iv used the cable successfully with my eagle to flash. It's finding the box but not flashing the firmware unfortunately. I'm gonna leave it a few days before I try again. Iv started new job yesterday so it's low on priorities at the mo. Thanks hamborambo.

I've had this back up, on now 24 hours and find it great. No green screens at all.

Is there any time of recovery sofwary you could try? maybe the spiderbox one may work?
there is a recovery procedure, which involves using a rs232 lead but I can't seem to get it to connect. Believe me iv tried everything. It's not as if I'm a noob at this. Iv been doing cable boxes and had a tm1500 few years ago. These involved a bit of work. I have an eagle box in it's place but the tuner is dodgy , I'm not getting all channels.
I don't want to turn my back on the openbox, god knows I know enough about em. -
I dunno what happened with my box but it's stuck with "on" and I can't recover it. I'm pissed off but what can I do, iv tried lots of loaders and firmwares and no go:(

I bricked my openbox with this firmware, so be careful
-
Is that the boot image? Wife and kids won't like that lol
-
Do the same as you did for fat just select Ntfs instead
-
Try what Dave was saying first. Instead of fat32 try changing to Ntfs your stick
-
This is true, contact your supplier and tell them you have tried a few different USB sticks and it's not working.
-
It does sound like that alright. Your not the first with this problem. Maybe just leave it as is
-
Get the USB stick and bring it to a pc and follow the instructions I gave earlier to change it to fat32

Have you a scart lead plugged in as well? If you do plug it out, just keep pressing the v format button and it should come around to your resolution eventually , also go into menu ,tv system, and make sure video out is not on rgb and video resolution is auto
-
plug out the hd lead from the tv and then plug it back in again, then try pressing the v format button
-
Ah no, don't do a factory reset, you will lose everything then. Is it a hd tv or sd tv you have?
-
can you get into menu at all? If you can go Menu > Systen Setup > TV System -. Then try changing the resolution there
