I'd say you will have to go back to firmware in June for single line , I think I read somewhere the latest firmware as two columns

I'm no expert on this side of things, but if you open a thread in the section I linked , there are plenty of experts there.

Have a look here http://linuxsat-support.com/cardsharing-tutorials/

Fair play for getting it working, I'd say it was the wi-fi bridges alright, they can be flaky at times.

Good to hear you got it sorted, cheers for update

hi , is it possible to use your s9 openbox to play what you have recorded ?
is it a mediaplayer ?
Thanks a lot, bye
Only one way to find out, lol. As Ali says, yes you can -
1/. MENU > INSTALLATION > SATELLITE LIST > GREEN Button (ADD) > Then use the numerical keypad to choose the characters required (step through them - the RED Button toggles Upper/Lower case.
To add a Space use the Zero (0) Key).
Use the Right or Left Arrow Buttons to move the cursor left or right.
2/. Once you get the name right, press the Down Arrow key in order to navigate to the next line, where you can add the appropriate longitude data.
3/. Once finished, use the YELLOW Button to SAVE the entered data or the BLUE Button to Cancel.
Press the EXIT Button to exit and save the data.
4/. Don't forget to Enable the satellite you have just entered, by going back into the SATELLITE LIST, highlighting the satellite name and pressing the OK button (a tick appears next to the satellite name). To disable a satellite, simply highlight its name and press OK - the tick will then disappear.
When in a menu, pressing the EXIT button will exit and at the same time save any new or altered data.5/. ANTENNA SETUP > choose the appropriate satellite.
6/. Don't forget to enter appropriate LNB local oscillator frequency etc.
Use DiSEqC1.0 for any DiSEqC switches in the system.
7/. Once again, the EXIT Button will enable you to exit and save the new details. To add appropriate transponder information do the following.
1/. MENU > INSTALLATION > TRANSPONDER LIST > (The appropriate satellite name should be indicated) GREEN Button (ADD) - enter the appropriate transponder Frequency. Press the DOWN arrow to navigate to Symbol Rate and enter the appropriate details. Repeat the procedure to enter the appropriate Polarity information.
2/. Use the Down Arrow button to navigate to the Save box and press the OK button to save the new transponder details.
3/. Repeat the procedure in order to enter additional transponder details. -
I've never read of anyone actually getting this to work, maybe someone will correct me. I've had one of these boxes a long time and know them fairly well and the server option never really seems to work

Put on one of the newer firmwares, that should solve the c line locking.
-
Maybe ask about a channel list for your area from your seller? Load this and see if this helps.
-
Make sure lnb settings are universal 9750-10600
-
sorted it
my dell bussiness lappy has a seriel port (and a firewire :P) which is irrelivent lol
and it sorted it no probscheers guys
Nice one, fair play lad. -
Try and use a desktop pc with a dedicated serial port, no USB messing. I couldn't get mine to flash using a usb.
-
Try putting one of the newer firmwares on the openbox and then go menu/network set up. Your ip should be there.
-
As has been said already, you have to put on one of the latest firmwares to get these extra features. The original software is very limited, it would be advisable to upgrade anyways. It's very easy to do and if you get stuck, ask away.
-
Sounds like a prob with your dish if everything else is working ok.
-
Was it working before , or is this only happening since you are using the openbox? Make sure lnb freq is set to universal 9750-10600
