hi guys , struggled to get in to activate with softcams so got a black viaccess cam , put card in , tune channel and slot into the vu+ duo , surly it should just come on after a while??? (i know its going slightly off topic for oscam sorry?

steve , i had the same issue with an omnikey it doesnt register on a com port like a smargo does! Not sure on settings but would be keen to know!

Ten i have options of my vu Duo or a TM500 super???? , do i just tune the channel and plug it in????

just received penthouse 9e card , using smargo and everything seems to be detecting in oscam but reporting no entitlements on card , do i just need to leave my receiver on to get entitelmets or should it be pre-activated???? have sly setup on same server and thats fine ? , used the config from the oscam files section? any ideas?? cheers guys

i have a 16gb SSD from a netbook (standard size 2.5") running in my server (Dell Laptop) - Hopefully less chance of hardware failure!

turns on its the fly leads / patch leads from the internal tuners to the external connectors - the give away was sat shop saying they woul accept a return ' but the cables from the tuners to the back wernt covered!! - just made my own patch leads direct to the tuners and signal is BACK :-)

have done all that , only just thought thou the warranty seal in now broken! DOH!

yep used a basic one and no power into sat meter so it must be box related!

Cheers Caz , its gotta be faulty , my Vu+ duo and Dream are working but the box just reportts no signal so im pretty sure its dead!

ok been passed a freinds qbox hd mini , reporting 0 signal in satfinder on both tuners, my dishs/lnbs work ok so its not that, sat meter on the back does not light up as though no voltage is being output? , is it as simple as just a faulty box??? , cant see any lnb power options anywhere???? think it may just be under warranty???

ok so why on my system if im watching 28.2 and a recording starts on 28.2 it moves my dish and records on tuner b then greying out the multisats - exactly the opposite of above problem? , i have tuner a as 28.2 fixed and tuner b as usals??

Sandman i was using the 12-03-12 catseye release and that stopped working yesterday , if you look on kingofsat for 13e there was a huge change of FEC's yesterday (22/03) so it is out of date, where did you get the later update as i cant see how your working??

Solution : The FEC on certain transponders has changed!!! = no tune , manual tune or scan satellite again! :-( , or beg catseye to release a new update :-)

i have today had same problem , all calcio HD gone and Sly IT sports HD1 etc, only HD channels affected and signal bounces from 80%-10%-0 and then tune failed? , has the frequencies changed maybe???

BYE BYE VIX ....... too many crashes on 2.3 kernel 3.1.1 , auto standby crashes, after epg update box reverts to last viewed channel and doesnt go back to standby , dish movement crashes while recording on other feed, gonna have a mess with blackhole and see and if not its back to 2.2.100 !!!!!

yes mate will work fine! , oscam is your reader to serve cccam , all it means is your server will share cached ecms with other peoples oscams connected to yours to reduce card requests from the physical card!

just a query on this , in oscam.conf you can configure :

cacheexwaittime = delay

maximum wait time for a cache entry in milli seconds, default:50

Isnt 50ms very low for default? ., does this mean that after 50ms the request is sent to a card? surly it should be higher, anyone have any experience or thoughts???????

brilliant image , i have the clone compatible one on by dm800 HD , had to update bootloader to 84b but then it was cool!

i'm sure my reader failed with this error but it was a clone and then fell to bits once i started looking at it... may not be anything to do with it but check it!, of all my smargo's iv never updated any of them and they work fine, as i found out with my new VIX image - if it aint broke - dont fix it!! :-) , good luck!!!!

Someone says old channel requests no longer valid can cause this but how can i force people to update their channel list???

Do i need a newer oscam as running 1.10rc-svn build 5775 ??? Its been solid as a rock but starting to show signs of issues?????
