just rebooted my box and it boots but the vix logo just keeps appearing then spinning then going off , just says VU Duo on the display! Any quick fix or just a re-flash?

Think i may do a re-flash and update to latest one if no quick fix!

is it available via tspanel??

those boxes dont work with vix 3.0 (i had same problem) , i flashed with 2.3 vix in end , the cfe2.0 update is required and it ran the original 2.4 image but box ran very slow and needed a swap file to improve response, unless its a ferrari V3 box stick with the older kernel , you wont see much difference!

ok so i fancy trying the BISS key downloaders and have added a few to my vu+

also added the lines into cccam.cfg:

SOFTKEY FILE : /usr/keys/SoftCam.Key
STATIC CW FILE : /usr/keys/constant.cw

download the keys to same location :

cccam reports : SERVER: Local , Hops 0 , ecm 0.002 , however channels are just blank?

Am i missing something?

when should i be looking for the high ecm's ? I have not noticed any changes on my server but will take a look!

ok just a quick update to say oscam is by far the way forward , all moved to oscam , reshares remain in place as long as you set the correct reshare to clients (dont know why people moan about oscam only) , just had 4 mates connect to a footie channel from a share and - hey presto , one ecm request , 4 cached ones to the other clients = loads less requests via cccam to the peer. Channel changes are also quicker! will give it a propper run down tomoz when liverpool are on.....

what do you think of my oscam idea to use cacheing of the ecms? surely this will mean my server does more work but less to the peer as it will find the ecm then the other users will be given it from the cache?

Ok so the senario is i have my ccam linked to oscam which is fine as per always, then i add my peers lines into the mix which gives others reshare to hop 2 , however yesterday the everton game was announced late on viasat, i have a good share (hop1) and a reshare option, so i rang 2 mates who wanted to watch and share from me, however one was connected ok and watching and the other was trying to use a hop 3 share from another line and wouldnt use the same line as the 1st mate? , so my question is this , is there a way that a peer can limit the number of conncurrent connections to a single original share , ie say i will let the hop1 view and then only one person connected to him via hop 2 and block anyone else, or is it just a case that ccam knew it was busy and tried elsewhere?

I am starting to think that although oscam is frowned on surly it is far better for a small closed group of my mates as oscam will cache the ecm and then the others will all have no issues since we normally only use shares for footie? , i know people say they dont like oscam a it requests from all peers at same time but surly thats only based on the caid - so it wouldnt request a 0963 form a 09cd only share??? I dont have a big server so i rekon witch caching it would be better ince the usage is only during the footie anyway?

Maybe someone can fill me in on how / what cccam is doing or if the line is being tweaked???

Ok so i am starting to get bored of my duo but not prepared to go ultimo, have ordered a DVB-T2 290e for freeview addon to play but now thinking the spare 28.2 feed would be good on a usb , running vix 2.4 what is the best if any that work well and anyone got any experience with them eg EPG / tuning etc? quite looking forward to having a mess with something new....

it only caches on request of the code required , if no one requests it then it doesnt cache , you would have to have someone on every channel the card opens but then the card could not supply the massive number of requests all at once, you cannot 'backup' the card as it is required for requests but i get your meaning! anywa why would you want to???

Ok i have motorised a 1.1m dish with a new motor (previously it was static on 4.8e) and all is aligned well, however if the box (solo + VIX) has been in standby when it comes on the dish symbol flashes but it dowsnt tune to the last channel before standby , choosing another channel on another sat doesnt move the dish, yet if you then go into satfinder it seems to reset and lock a sat and then when you exit the dish tracks and tunes fine? , took the box to mine and its flawless and no issues! , the cable is not copper and looks crap so i can only assume that its causing diseq error? Anyone had any experience of this. It is a clone box but it powers my motor fine ,am going to run a temp cable through the house to test during the week, started as a favour and turns into a big job LOL

yeah they arnt listed on live on sat but the epg shows them! was same last season just wondered why the epg sat listing is still there!

Why are TV2 PL advertising 3 3pm matches but PL 2 and 3 are just blank? I am getting shares and was getting the build up and then they cut out? , thought it was only 1 3pm per provider now? Or is it a streaming service on official boxes??? Anyone know?

Hi Catseye , there has been a massive change to 28.2 and 13e as olympic vhannels have left, sly italia have changed back to calcio and sports, was this today or on yesterdays update? , Still the best channel list by miles BTW!

its to do with the rotation of the earth as rfar as i know! the angle to the sat changes slightly on the horizon? (could be totally wrong but remember reading when i was trying to get 0.8 and 4.8 nordic)
