  • CoolTVGuide uninstallation problem - need advice

    Hi Guys


    Long story short I had problems with CoolTVGuide showing the Upgrade message. I've tried various fixes and the upgrade message goes away, but as a result the CoolTVGuide flashes up and disappears straight away.


    I can't find an option to uninstall the plugin from the menus (running BlackHole image) and so I deleted relevant files in the following directories...
    - Deleted directory /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/CoolTVGuide
    - Deleted file /usr/uninstall/ can't remember CoolTVGuide filename in here


    After deleting those and going to install CoolTVGuide v7.3.0 from BlackHole Plugins it tells me the plugin is already installed on root?
    Is there another location I can remove this from so the system can do a clean install of original file?

    Cheers for the files - tried it and still the sam - so annoying. I can see it's working and the data is there, but it flashes up and goes away within a split second.


    I was dreading re-imaging the box, but I think I MAY resort to that, maybe wait and see if anyone has any other suggestions. I mean, it's so close to being fixed and I would be annoyed if I re-imaged and it still had the same issue.

    Package enigma2-plugin-extensions-cooltvguide-snp-update-fix is already installed on root.


    There is no CoolTVGuide folder under - /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions

    Hi Guys


    I was always getting the CoolTVGuide upgrade message after I had changed channel, but I just closed this and it wasn't a problem. This morning it goes to the upgrade message and I can't see EPG. I've tried various methods to fix and none of them see to have worked...


    1) Copied the plugin.py and deleted plugin.pyo and restarted Enigma
    2) Removed the CoolTVGuide Extension directory and tried to install both packages above (not at the same time) and still no joy.


    What happens when I select CoolTVGuide is that it kind of flashes up the EPG and then just closes immediately. If I hold the EPG button and select the CoolTVGuide (or any other CoolTV option) it does the same, but I can see the programme data is in there. It's like there is something in the script forcing the EPG to open and close


    Any ideas? I just want to get this fixed as I setup the same box for my parents and I know they are going to moan at me until I fix it for them

    It works well, but the display of Rytec info is information overload - so I've swiched back to OpenTV
    This has worked well as it seems to have kept the info for STV + it seems to have fixed the problem of my "now and next" info disappearing when I switch onto a channel

    I was away to post the EXACT same problem - CrossEPG downloads all data fine - but when I flick onto a channel the info for "now and next" disappears?
    I'm using VU+ solo2 with Blackhole image

  • STV HD - missing EPG info

    The weird thing is that when I had my dreambox connected to LNB it would somehow pull the data through when I went onto the channel - not just for now and next, but the next 7 days, but since I switched over to VU+ Solo2 I've had this problem.


    If I'm honest I think I'll stick ITV HD in there - it's not like there's anything on STV HD that's not on ITV HD that's worth watching

    I live in Scotland and I seem to be able to get all EPG data for channels except STV HD - I can get info for STV SD, but I prefer to use the HD channels where possible.
    Any idea why this isn't working and is there a solution to remedy this?

    I'm using an OpenPli image on the DM800se (with no Sat connection) and Blackhole on VU+ (dual tuner)


    Just checked and my 2nd Tuner wasn't configured. Went and did this and it works perfectly without going into standby

    Hi there


    I've got this setup (and working) on my VU+ Solo2 as the server and DM800se as the client.
    Rather than put the VU+ box in standby - or watch the same channel - is it possible to get the DM800se to use one tuner for channels and VU+ box use the other tuner?

  • Channel info - change timeleft on programmes to running time

    When I change channel it shows a counter next to the programme title - i.e +37 (meaning there is 37mins to go)


    I want to change this to show how far into a programme/film it is rather than the timeleft? (as this is what Sly box does)


    Got a DM800se clone running OpenPli image


    I'm guessing I'll need to edit a config file somewhere. If it can work out how far from the end of the programme it is, surely it should be easy enough to reverse that into how far into the programme it is instead


    Any suggestions?

  • Connect to N line

    I'm trying to connect to an N line service without much joy.


    I'm running the CCam 1.3c on OpenPli image on my Dm800SE
    I've FTP'd the box and put the N line into /var/etc/CCcam.cfg and saved it - restarted box and nothing has changed?


    What am I doing wrong?
    Any help much appreciated
