Display MoreThe latest firmware does not have the ability to download the cfg file due to avatar cam being a part of it. apparantly there is some payserver info in the config for avatar in the cfg. file so download woz disabled. you can manually input the cline see changelog foe firmware....

Do you think its worth having an openbox firmware changelog here as from what I have read some people have been caught out on the latest firmware for S11 re Cccam.cfg download. It clearly states this cant be done. There is one on the openbox forum here. http://www.openboxforum.com/index.php/topic,1372.0.html It at least give an overview of the firmware changes. Just a thought Cheers guys

Cheers for quick reply Alibaba no I have set it to manual after it picks up an IP addy should it be DHCP. ? I just assumed it was like I set the network up on a dreambox
If your router supports DHCP turn it ON and click Apply.
If your router do not support DHCP you will be required to set it up manually, click Apply once you have set it up correctly.
Now reboot your receiver and that should be JOB DONE!

I wonder if anyone is working on updates etc for these receivers. The one thing I really miss is the option to record a program every week (you currently have every day or once)

Quick question before I go ahead. Cant find the recommended step by step for a flash but I have it on my usb and know where to go to flash it in the menu but should I do a factory reset first or can I just go for it. Again cheers guys best to ask a silly question to be shure LOL
1º- Backup all your files.
2º- Factory reset
3º- Upgrade USB
Note: If you have problems using prebuild list, please use your own.
Sometimes prebuild list fails.
after loading this file i now find i can not enter my menu all greyed out,anyone else have that problem
Do you have a Openbox S9 ?
I dont test SGT flip flop (Big Kid), but probably based on S10 (AnonymouSX), this is the reason why the menu is greyed.
Thanks, been using SGTFlipFlop for Openbox but box is getting really hot and freezing now and then, read somewhere that certain firmwares have been known to cause this.
I have no problems with latest AnonymouSX or latest original S10 firmware.
Maybe old firm cause freezing problem, my box is colder than ice cream ;)

AnonymouSX V2 Red Passion is the latest clone software, but works with original .
I am new to this and looking to buy a box. However looking at Blade media and Openbox S9 and the blade is almost £90 more can anyone tell me why? and which one to buy.
Vu+ or dreambox are the best .

The reboot problem is a very old problem.
Sometimes it happens when you load a tp list and sometimes its the firm (but older firmware versions).
Conclusion, always its better make a own tp list.
I'v tested this fw and couldn't figure out how to make the network tab displayed. flash back to October version

I have problems with cccam freezing a few times a day... the box needs reebooting which fixes the problem but this happens afew times a day...
C line is better and needs less reebooting ... n line entered via mgcamd is worse and requirs more reboots....
Is it worth me trying the above firmware on my s11..

No, you can try on your S11.
Box is an S10, Alibaba1802.
When i turn off the box, the lights on the box go out, but the channel stays on. When i try to turn the box back on using the remote it does not respond.

A few things to report. I do like the look of it, the icons, the colours etc.
But i still have the persistent freezing with the remote when turning off the box, was hoping this issue was fixed.
I have tried to play avi files and i do hear sound but no picture, all the avi files do work in surround sound system.
I tried recording to usb, which it seems to do ok without any error messages, but i can not play back as it stutters and a message appears, device too slow.
Would love to hear has anyone got the same issues, especially the freezing on standby, as i use a video senderquite often from another room in the house, it would be great to turn off the box properly using the remote.

I have no problems (freezing), when turning off the box.
Playing avi files, correct. You can"t play all avi files, i dont know the reason. Mkv files (HD) works good.
Is your box S9,S10,S11 or S12 ?
