edit from further investigation it seems to have been included with the Asian firmware but not the european firmware. Maybe it will be included with the next European release.

Its difficult to say which firm is the best. One of the best firmware (in my opinion) is from May 2011.
The firm (SHENZHEN) you can find here is official firm.
About HD on Bulsat, i dont know.

According to the feedbacks from customers, the new software mainly improve :
1.modified DiSEqC1.2 motor bugs.
2.add 95E satellite IPM (NSS6) patch .
3.modified CCCAM multi accounts connect servers bugs.
4.modified some irdeto2 smartcard EMM Autoupdate.
5.modified some other bugs!

In order for S'y Box Office to work I had to download the satellite file and the bouquetts and upload them to my dreambox. Is there a similar thing I need to do for the Openbox? Secondly, will the openbox stream to my Mac or to the internet? Finally are there any Mac utilities that will help me with my new box?

No, your openbox will not stream to your Mac and no Mac utilities for openbox.

If you use firm from May or later, theres is a pass for connect via ftp.
If you use another firm there is no posibility, but it is very dificult to acess to the lines.
Remember its not Enigma (f.e.), the factory firm is closed.

This firmware is working well. The media player reads mp4, mpg, and finally (mkv). But it still does not load subtitles (too bad). Still could not see any other failure.
I apologize for the mistakes because I am using a translator.
I see more failures:
Softcam doesnt work correctly and the menu configuration is blocked.

Hello, this firmware works fine on my S9 HD. It is faster and the media player works fine with mp4 files, but does not load the srt subtitle files. I wish someone would help me solve this problem if possible.

try to format FAT 32 or try another pen.
If you dont see the message in the screen (stick connected) you cant update.
just wondering if it is ri*** using openboxes as when they startup they display your ip address like dyndns could this not then be linked back to you if it got into the wrong hands?
