  • Cool TV guide help anyone

    Hey guys, been while since needed to ask anything on here, but just upgraded my image on a gigablue quad, hdfreaks v5 image, problem I have is the standard TV guide I don't want so installed cool TV guide, I can get this up and running by blue button, but wanted it as my standard TV guide, used to just press v guide and it would be there, any ideas where I'd find setting to do this again anyone? It's doing my head in as can't find where to change?

  • Quad stuck on boot screen after flashing

    Hi guys, got exactly same issue as u bacon_&_cabbage, some plugins weren't working etc so tried to flash latest hd freaks image, gets stuck in boot screen after flash, tried numerous images same outcome, had Ben looking for later bootloader but couldn't find new was at or am at total loss, got one backup on here to work by prekon, no good for me though
    Anyone any further ideas would be appreciated

    Just goes to show if you read posts properly lol was indeed bootlaoder maybe bacon had tried same as me bootloader 4.1 hence 4.2! images wouldn't load, got beta 4.2 loader and installed image no probs, the rar archive is password protected also, mine being gb quad was gbquadonly (password)

  • New dish needed

    Lol wasn't expecting the dish to look like that, has seen better days, but hey if it does what it's there for!
    I'd go motorised, I was without for few years, sort of lost interest, then setup motorised again couple years ago, gets u loads!
    Although sly not so good at mo, latest is android tv box, got good broadband can't believe what can get with that, use more than satellite now cos its on demand

    Hey all seen film wouldn't mind watching from start on NCyfra+ canal+ Family HD, it's a hally Berry film The Call, in polish think was polaczenie anyone any idea what other sides are showing this film, been looking on tv guide and internet, not having much luck though, appreciate if anyone else has idea what sides are showing this in HD ;)

  • Recording from 1channel on gigablue quad hd using HDFreaks image

    Just incase this is of any use to anyone else, sorted it ;)
    Realised a software update had changed cool TV guide, that in turn had changed the settings of the info button in settings/buttons/info button mode was changed to show cool tv something when bar had been updated, changed this to show event view and jobs a gudin ;) able to record streams again

  • Recording from 1channel on gigablue quad hd using HDFreaks image

    Hey guys, hoping someone could advise on this, had 1channel working ok for ages now, my problem I think lies in the image I'm using on the gigablue quad/HDFreaks I was always able to record to HDD by using info button on remote and selecting record, problem is recently this option doesn't come up now, maybe since software update?
    Anyone came across this and have a solution would be appreciated?

    Thanks ian1095, Afrostar 'nice guidance notes' and masterg pando everyone else, got this working this morning, couldn't last night think I didn't delete pyo file before restarting box, but all back up and running ;)

    just in case helps anyone, mine had been working fine, just tried before and got message "sorry no links" happened before and knew was running latest fix from IAN1095 'thanks', found after restart of box everything back up and running?

  • Quad recording

    is this a standard bow with twin tuners or have you installed additional tuner/s?


    if its the first, i'd guess is down to your prog A finishing same time as prog C starts? maybe try prog A finish 22:59 then prog C start at 23:00 would be ok? alsdo are you watching something else while these are recording, this may use one of the tuners you might have thought free?

  • Gigablue HD quad help

    Had some proper problems with my gigablue since posting above, thought HDD had failed, removed tested on PC was ok, installed new images, HDD wouldn't work, finally got working with latest vix image, don't know what in a software update had caused all this but had a proper headache and because had to format HDD lost settings backup too arghhhh lol


    Am hoping someone may have idea with one thing not managing to do, installed tspanel 7.3 to get linuxsat downloads, I installed 1channel working fine, however on last image HDFREAKS if I pressed the info button on remote, it gave option to add download of stream, carnt do thus now :-( is there a setting to activate this or shortcut on remote to get this working on vix image?


    Would be appreciated if anyone has worked this out?

    Wehey sorted, just got back home half hour ago, the message on the crash log mentioned series plugin, vaguely remembered installing plugin the image didn't like and caused crash, as I was able to ftp to box, I managed to go to plugins folder and deleted the series plugin and bobs ur uncle back up and running, need to remove this properly but that was problem, just incase anyone else runs into this problem, may be of some use?

    Updated software, after it restarted just keeps crashing, arghhhh!
    It didn't like something that was updated, can still ftp box, any ideas guys?

    Hey guys, hoping someone can help with following, since yesterday have for first time noticed new symbol am unsure what is hoping someone can enlighten, I'm running HDFreaks image, since yesterday I have a green light constantly flashes with 2 x circular arrows going round it clock ways on the info bars when ok is pressed, maybe being thick but just no idea what it's doing as nothing being recorded or anything and this is first time ever noticed?
    Appreciate if any one could answer ;)
