    Sorry, one final silly question. Do I go through the installation process, channel scan etc then update the bootloader or just update it as soon as I get it out of the box?

    Hi all!


    Duo2 is on it's way and should be here by the weekend.


    Just wondering about the bootloader. What shall I do once the Duo2 arrives? Turn it on and install the bootloader with the original firmware? Then install image of choice? How do I check to see if the DUO2 doesn't already have the V2 bootloader? Is it the same procedure to install the bootloader as it is to install the image?

  • App or Plugin to control Solo 2 with TV off?

    Hi!


    Is there an iOS or Android app that can control the Solo 2 with the TV off so I can get to my mp3 albums and play them through my Hi-Fi? Or can the Solo 2 VFD do that via a plugin? DUO 2 would be a treat to do what I need but I can't wait any longer or afford the extra cash.

  • Difference between Backup and Normal Image

    Hi everyone!


    Please be gentle! Novice here! : )


    I'm interested in the VU+ SOLO2 but still waiting for the DUO2 to come out to see if it's worth the extra cash and was looking at the images. I came across the OpenVix Backup UK Image which I like, very nice skin and was wondering what the difference is between the normal and backup image. And can I install the backup version straight after unboxing the VU+? Or do have to install the normal image first?


    Another thing, the only thing that worries me with the VU+ SOLO2 is the 256mb flash. Is it sufficient? And the fixed tuner, but I can always buy a USB tuner I think?
