There were some changes recently to the drivers for the front panel. I am not sure if they are incorporated into Hyperion 4.5. They have made some changes in the HDMU image, but I am not sure if it is working 100% yet. (I am taking about the front panel icons, the image is quite stable...)

I have managed to get a similar method as the Enigma2 / Oscam-emu stream relay working on a linux pc. I am using an old skystar2 pci card (dvb-s only) and use MuMuDVB as a streaming server to feed Osemu stream relay. Then you can connect to Osemu with a client (vlc, stb, etc) to view the decrypted channels. (I can post details if anyone is interested...)

But, this is really just a hack and not a real solution. So, I am looking into two options:

    1. Modify Osemu (more likely oscam with emu patch) to use the dvbloopback method instead of using a stream relay.

    2. Modify FFdecsawrapper to include code for powervu decryption. (http://www.lursen.org/wiki/FFd…nd_Oscam_on_Debian/Ubuntu

If anyone knows of anyone else already working on this (or some other approach) please let me know before I re-invent the wheel...

When looking where to post some info about using my DVB cards with Linux, I noticed the DVB Card forum is almost all about windows. Since this is "Linuxsat-Support", how about creating two subsections under DVB Cards - one for windows and one for Linux? Maybe also expand the forum to be "DVB Cards / USB tuners"?

It is quite hard to guess what your problem can be. If you post you configs and maybe logs (with private info xxxxx'd out) it would help.

Your original post said "on a linux Pc" so I do not understand what you need. If you have a linux PC, you can use simplebuild. If you want to compile on a mac, I don't know where you can find a toolchain for mac.

    1. Compile oscam with oscam-emu patch with minimum settings DVBAPI, EMU, and CLOCKFIX enabled.
(or use the attached version - NOTE: it was compiled with only basic emu for testing!)

I did not include any other readers or protocols when I compiled oscam. if you let me know what reader/protocols you need, I can compile another version that you can try.

HOWEVER, depending on which pti.ko module you are using, other channels may not clear normally - only through oscam (17999) connection.

Which image did you test with? OpenSPA?

Tested with OpenSpa 4.0.002 BUT!!! It will not work with the modded pti.ko - you must use the original pti.ko (np) from the image.

Not a direct method yet, but a workaround using a stream relay from oscam-emu. You have to setup an IPTV streaming service which connects to your local box's oscam-emu (default port 17999) which then connects to the local box's streaming port (default 8001). But it is ALL done on the receiver without any need for PC to decode...

    Basic steps.
    1. Compile oscam with oscam-emu patch with minimum settings DVBAPI, EMU, and CLOCKFIX enabled.
(or use the attached version - NOTE: it was compiled with only basic emu for testing!)

    2. Basic oscam.conf file:

    3. Basic oscam.server file:

    4. Add SoftCam.key file to oscam config directory:

    Code
    P <srvid> <nb> <key>
    example:
    P 1234 01 11223344556677

    5. Enable the "Include ECM in http streams" setting. OpenWebif -> Settings -> Customize

    6. Yon can now test with VLC and connect to port 17999 instead of 8001. Some examples for AFN on 9.0E:

    7. To connect directly from box, use dreamboxedit to add IPTV streams to a bouquet with following settings:

    Code
    Stream Type :DVB/TS
Name: (example HD SPORTS - local stream)
URL: (url with localhost and port 17999 - example http://127.0.0.1:17999/1:0:1:B:1:9:5A0000:0:0:0)
            Service Type :1
Service ID : 11 (must be DECIMAL - example from above url "B" -> 11)
            Transponder ID : 99 (doesn't matter)
            Network ID : 99 (doesn't matter)
            Namespace: 99 (doesn't matter)

I only tested on AFN channels on 9.0E. CPU usage was only %10-%15!

    From another site:

It has no special format anymore. just enter

    P 0000 01 key1 ; comments
    P 0000 00 key2 ; comments

    ; and so on

If your keys are expired, you will see the relevant message in the plugin's monitor.

Encrypted channels I presume... What are you using, oscam? May need to change the settings to enable decrypting two channels at the same time. Post your config files and someone can probably help you. (I am not familiar with that box...)
