    Unfortunately most of VPN services (like Express, Nord) do not offer port forwarding.

    Are there any other settings for the router I can use for Oscam to work through VPN?


    I saw there are some plugins like OpenVPN or NordVPN-Connector for Emigma2 receivers. None of this plugins could be used simultaneous with Oscam?

    I have OSCam installed on VU+Solo2 which is connected to a DD-WRT router. When VPN connection on router (OpenVPN protocol) is activated, OSCam partners/users can not connect to my local card. It seems that usual port forwarding is not working through VPN connection.

    Any idea what settings are necessary for a router with VPN connection so that I could still use Oscam? I need VPN for other devices so I can't use OpenVPN directly on VU+Solo2. Thank you!

  • OpenATV 6.4 on Vu+ Solo2

    Is it worth to switch from OpenATV 6.3 to 6.4 on Vu+ Solo2? Currently with all plugins moved to USB stick I only have 15 MB left on internal flash. I am afraid that the new version is much bigger and I will have no space left on internal flash. The official installation pack for 6.3 has 131 MB, while 6.4 version has 143 MB. After installing OpenATV 6.4 how much free space remains on internal flash?

    It's not working for me on OpenATV. I keep getting the error IMDb Download failed: [('SSL routines', 'SSL23 GET SERVER HELLO', 'sslv3 alert handshake failure')].

    Can someone help me with this plugin? The alternative plugin, IMDb-FNC, is not working with my image.

    You have to add this to oscam.dvbapi file (no other settings are necessary for oscam, except correct keys in softcam.key file)


    But you will also need a use an appropriate lamedb file, or, after you scan the satellite, to add manually video and audio pid and make some changes is lamedb file.

    And of course, before all of this, you have to install dvbsnoop via feed (opkg install dvbsnoop) and put the following scripts in /usr/bin:bbc_pmt_v6, bbc_pmt_starter.sh and enigma2_pre_start.sh.

    Finally, after days of testing and trying different settings, I found the problem for Abertis transponder 11347 H. It seems there is a wrong data in lamedb file I used from ciefp package. In lamedb the transponder modulation appear to be QPSK, but it should be 8PSK. So in order to see the channels on this frequency (TV Canaria, A7, TV 3, CyL7, TVG, Extremadura), you have to modify this data in lamedb using dreamboxEDIT or dreamset or even notepad (if you are a more advanced user).

    AFN package changes the keys very often, every few hours or so. That's why you will not find any softcam.key with the latest operational key. But, if all the settings are right (including auto update on in dvbapi), Oscam will find the keys, you just have to leave your receiver on any AFN channel for a few minutes, and the new keys will be automatically written in your softcam file.

    I have the same problem with Abertis channels. Using the files from the latest ciefpsettings E2 settings, I managed to get image on some channels. But there are still a few channels which are not working like Antena 3, La Sexta, Telecinco, Cuatro, TV 3, TV Canaria, Canal Extremadura, TVG, La 1 Canarias and other versions for La 1 and La 2.

    After I replaced lamedb file with another one (a version containing only Abertis channels, not this one for positioner 75E-34W ), I have image on Antena 3, Cuatro and La Sexta, but the other channels are still not working. I assume that the problem is in lamedb file but I don't know what to change in this file.

    But there are some chances you will not succeed to install ipk file, at least I couldn't install it on OpenATV 6.3. You have to install it via telnet using the following command: wget http://www.softrix.co.uk/istream/installer.sh -O – | /bin/sh

    If you mean what to choose between E2iPlayer and E2iStream, both should work on Vu+ and Vti. The newer E2iStream seems to be an improved version of the original E2iPlayer with more functions working, including automatically update.

    You don't really need Green panel plugin for E2iplayer to work. Depend on your image, you can access your installed plugins by pressing the green button on your remote control. On other images it's the blue button. Or you can see all your plugins via main menu. I think jolinuxsat was just saying where you can find your plugin after you have installed it, when he mentioned about green panel.

    I have some problems with the latest E2iplayer versions on OpenATV 6.3 and Vu+ Solo2.

    Firstly, at start I get the message that Duktape is deprecated and it needs to be updated, but when I select Yes nothing happens and the message appears over and over again, and to continue to open the plugin I have to choose No.

    Then, any section/group I choose I get the message ”There is no hosts in this group” and all the sections (Movies, Cartoons, Music, Sport, Live, English, Polish, French and so on) are empty.

    I also tried to install E2iStream after I uninstalled E2iplayer, but it doesn't install no matter if I tried to install from ipk file, SatVenus Panel or OpenATV plugin feed. I would really appreciate some help. Thank you!

    I am using the latest Oscam 11517 with with fix log_bad_cw for Sky Ger, I made the necessary settings for disablecrccws_only_for, but I still have lots and lots of freezes. ECM response time is under 200 ms for 098C caid. What can I do to get rid of freezes?
