    My server reboots daily at about 3.59am. Is this the right file?
    What do i change or do i just insert # infront of it so it does not reboot. I only want to stop the reboot till i have the entitlements.
    Is this the right file i should be looking at? Its located in /etc

    This is the file..

    # /etc/crontab: system-wide crontab
    # Unlike any other crontab you don't have to run the `crontab'
    # command to install the new version when you edit this file
    # and files in /etc/cron.d. These files also have username fields,
    # that none of the other crontabs do.

    SHELL=/bin/sh
    PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin

    # m h dom mon dow user command
    17 * * * * root cd / && run-parts --report /etc/cron.hourly
    25 6 * * * root test -x /usr/sbin/anacron || ( cd / && run-parts --report /etc/cron.daily )
    47 6 * * 7 root test -x /usr/sbin/anacron || ( cd / && run-parts --report /etc/cron.weekly )
    52 6 1 * * root test -x /usr/sbin/anacron || ( cd / && run-parts --report /etc/cron.monthly )
    #

    59 03 * * * root /usr/local/bin/oscam -b
    */5 * * * * root /var/script/OscamCheck.sh

    set au = 0 to your client
    and set au = 1 only on your spiderbox 7000hd
    and give them cccammaxhop=1

    Thanks so basically i set it like this.......

    oscam.user

    [account]
    user = ******
    pwd = ******
    group = 1
    au = 1
    caid = 0963
    ident = 0963:000000

    [account]
    user = ******
    pwd = ******
    group = 1
    au = 0
    caid = 0963
    cccmaxhops = 1

    [account]
    user = ******
    pwd = ******
    group = 1
    au = 0
    caid = 0963
    cccmaxhops = 1

    [account]
    user = ******
    pwd = ******
    group = 1
    au = 0
    caid = 0963
    cccmaxhops = 1

    [account]
    user = ******
    pwd = ******
    group = 1
    au = 0
    cccmaxhops = 1

    [account]
    user = ******
    pwd = ******
    group = 1
    au = 0
    cccmaxhops = 1

    [account]
    user = ******
    pwd = ******
    group = 1
    au = 0
    cccmaxhops = 1

    Can i just remove the au completely from my friends accounts? Also whats the cccmaxhops about? I have no peers,have a local card only. Nothing more. My friends are using n line and i am using cline, settings above ok to update entitlements?

    Anything elese i should change to maximise performance.?

    Cheers

    Hello people

    I have read all the threads on entitlements. I have changed all my settings to match the suggestions in those threads. Can someone please have a quick look and tell me its correct.
    bit of background information
    ubunutu server oscam only build OSCAM 1.10rc-svn build 6481 (followed one of the tuts and it works perfectly)

    I have about 7 friends and thats it, no more, everything working good. Servers been running now for roughly 2-3 weeks, thanks to the help of all the people on here.
    Average ecm is about 92ms according to webif.
    I have a spiderbox 7000hd and have a cline added.
    most of my friends have a ***box f3 with nlines

    Here are my files....please let me know if something is wrong....

    Should au line be in my friends account user file in oscam.user or just in my account?please see my files this is a bit confusing.

    If anyone notices anything else not right in any of the files please let me know.

    If anyone can please checkthese for me i would really apreciate it.

    Much appreciation for any help.

    How can I update entitlements? In my oscam.user file I have account 1 au set to the same name as the au in server config file. I have read this is the way to auto update it.for example au= slyuk in oscam.user and au=slyuk in server.config For other accounts in oscam.user can I set a different name for au then to the one in my server.config file?what difference does it make if it is the same for all accounts?

    Thanks a lot. Quick question. Can I set the server listen port to whatever I want and add it to my router. What about the telnetinfo port? Is this the same? And finally the web info port will be the same as my webif right? How many of these ports should be added to my router?

    I have messed up so often and did not even know Linux a week ago. I installed ubuntu server 4 times in a week. It did wind me up but tbh I did a fresh install every time and started from scratch. Now I can get it installed and ready for the config files in about an hour. This includes changing webif port and installing dyndns etc. it's worth it just to familiarise yourself with it. I just popped in the ubuntu server cd in and let it do its thing. I'm still learning so hope this helps.

    My setup is different to yours but what I can tell you is if you look at my previous threads it states what tut I followed and even the omnikey works after following the tut. I did not have to configure it.

    Like i said i did change a few things when i read other posts etc to get entitlements? Will these settings still update entitlements. Also for other accounts in oscam.user can I set a different name for au then to the one in my server.config file?what difference does it make if it is the same for all accounts?

    Shall I paste my config files?

    ok now where do i begin, big thanks to everyone for the help they hve given me.

    Lastly in webif fopr oscam where it says "cardok" next to it it says "8 entitlements" when i hover above this it is giving me various numbers and expiry dates? What are these expire dates? How do i update them? I dont have a *** box at the moment.....dont ask water and electronics dont mix

    philthy your a genius thanks for the help.7000

    I copied and pasted your config files exactly as they were. I only changed the settings to suit me. I entered this data onto my spiderbox 7000 and hey presto i tried a channel 5 hd and it cleared.
    ecm time it states as 85ms i dont know whatthis means but iheard the lower the better.

    Philthy thanks for all your help.
    I think the card reader is setup but I don't have the oscam config files setup yet so the card reader won't do anything just yet. The only issue concerning me is when I give the command opensc-tool ?list-readers I get something totally different. I.e it looks like a paragraph of commands etc rather then listing my reader.

    to recap....so far i have followed the tutorial, changed the webif port etc, installed dyndns and thats it apart from running the command sudo apt-get install opensc pcscd libccid i have done nothing else. I have not configured any oscam.conf files or cccam.conf files, this wont be causing the issue will it? I want to make sure the reader is recognised before i start on the config files for oscam and cccam. Does this matter or will the card reader only work and say cardok in webif once the config files for oscam etc are done?
