    Hi,

    I would like to switch my Oscam Server to a dedicated Root Server. I hope to get a better uptime (no IP changes etc.). To clarify: I'm talking about a private (no pay) sharing server.

    Here is a list of pro and cons:

    Pro
    ==============

    • my girlfriend has no access to the server --> full uptime
    • faster ping for me and my clients

    Cons
    ==============

    • no physical access -> no "real" cardserver
    • police?

    What are other pro and cons?

    Thank you

    uhm, 3 cards are not very costly (okay sly is very costly), but i have dorcel (one payment, 1 jear watching), srg suisse for free (one payment).

    I can send you a picture of my cards. My peer said, that he wants that I remove his line :-(

    Hi, I just had a discussion with a peer. He complained that I had too many shares.

    I have in :

    hop1 = 5 (my locals)
    hop2 = 66 (locals of my peers)
    hop > 2 = 1699 (locals of the peers of my peers)

    I don't understand the problematic and his fears about my server. Can somebody clear me up?

    Thank you.

    I use the current Oscam SVN 6092.

    Thanks newtolinux,

    I changed these parameters from "2" to:

    Code
    cccmaxhops                    = 1
    cccreshare                    = 1

    I hope no peer will complain ;-) Thats increased my bandwitch to 14 MB (up+down).

    What about my other questions?

    • How can I set the Oscam to check 2 readers for the same ECM at the same time and take the fastest?
    • Are my Loadbalance settings optimal? How can I improve them?
    • How can I compile Oscam with DVB-API Support (Ubuntu 11.04 amd64) and use for VDR-SC?

    Hi everybody,

    since I use cardsharing (25 Proxies, 24 Clients, 3 Locals) I discovered a lot of freezers while watching encrypted TV.
    I also have a lot of internet traffic. I don't have a very fast internet connection and just 10 GB / Month allowed.

    Here are my settings:

    oscam.user Settings (extract):

    Groups:

    • Cardsharing-Proxies
    • Local 1
    • Local 2
    • Local 3

    oscam.server Settings (extract):

    Questions:

    • How can I set the Oscam to check 2 readers for the same ECM at the same time and take the fastest?
    • Are my Loadbalance settings optimal? How can I improve them?
    • How can I compile Oscam with DVB-API Support (Ubuntu 11.04 amd64) and use for VDR-SC?
    • How can I reduce internet traffic? I have around 14 MB Up and 14 MB down in one hour just for Cardsharing.

    Thank you so much!!!

    Thanks m8. My card is still working :-) (Should run out of yesterday)

    Code
    entitlement class: caid 0500 provid 040810 id 0003 class 03 06.06.2011 - 06.07.2011
    entitlement class: caid 0500 provid 040810 id 0001 class 01 01.06.2011 - 17.07.2011

    Hi master G, what do you mean exacty? I posted my entitlements above. I also get shared EMM written to my card (see Screenshot):

    db105.png

    Extract from my oscam.log:

    I have set an own file:

    create a new file:

    Code
    sudo nano /var/cron.d/oscam

    fill in the file (checks every minute)

    Code
    */1 * * * *     root   /home/maus/workspace/mausvdr/oscam/oscamcheck.sh

    in your case:

    Code
    */1 * * * *     root   /var/script/OscamCheck.sh

    make it executable

    Code
    sudo chmod a+x /var/cron.d/oscam

    restart anachron:

    Code
    sudo /etc/init.d/anachron restart

    Hi everybody,

    i'm getting just shared EMM's with CCcam-Protocol. I'm afraid, that my Card stops working in some days. Here are my Entitlements:

    Code
    ->type: Viaccess (standard atr), caid: 0500, serial: *********
    providers: 4 (FFF430,040810,040820,040830)
    provider: 1, id: FFF430, name: ISSUER, sa: **********, geo: empty
    provider: 2, id: 040810, name: SRGSSR, sa: **********, geo: FF FF FF FF
    class: 01, expiry date: 2011/06/06 - 2011/07/06
    class: 02, expiry date: 2011/06/06 - 2011/07/06
    class: 03, expiry date: 2011/06/06 - 2011/07/06
    class: 01, expiry date: 2011/06/01 - 2011/07/17
    provider: 3, id: 040820, name: Service2, sa: **********, geo: FF FF FF FF
    provider: 4, id: 040830, name: Service3, sa: **********, geo: FF FF FF FF

    Here is my oscam.server:

    Code
    [reader]
    label                         = srg_reader
    protocol                      = smartreader
    device                        = 001:003
    caid                          = 0500
    detect                        = cd
    mhz                           = 480
    cardmhz                       = 357
    group                         = 4
    emmcache                      = 1,3,15

    Can somebody confirm this behaviour?
    Can somebody help me?

    Thank you!

    Very good dream :40_002:
    Torodial T90.
    As you can see, I only attached 1 LNB (the others are not connected at the moment). I can only use a very small corridor. Just get Hotbird atm ;-)

    Now I want to see your equipment! ;-)
