Got a dish pointing at 19.2 a couple of weeks ago for the boxing which was free on RTL (German ITV), Not a lot of UK footy on this sat though saying that I've the city game from a Spanish channel in HD but obs no commentary. Also the film channels are in HD and some provide english audio (Need to select this from audio on remote). Maybe more UK footy on hotbird but not sure I can get away with a 3rd sat!

I have a duo2 and the only thing i don't like about it is the stupid screen. I've just turned it off! Would much prefer a audio coax out. Great box though.

I've recently upgraded from a vu duo to a vu duo2 and it's amazing. The difference in picture quality is chalk and cheese! Even on sd channels but obviously the hd shows up more. I'm not sure exactly why as the old vu duo was 1080i but I thought the picture was better on 720p with my tv upscaling to 1080P. The new duo2 is 1080p but as far as I can tell the hd picture from sats is 1080i so presume the duo2 converts to 1080p. I went for a twin s2 tuner and a single T2 freeview hd tuner as though my tv has freeview it's not hd. This means I can get all the freeview hd channels through my normal ariel (if the sat goes down with snow!). You could have 2 twin s2 tuners (4 total) though i've no idea why anyone would need this many tuners.
The new duo2 is also a lot faster than the old duo and no longer needs a swap file set up as it's got plenty of internal memory. You can stream both from the web and to your own device away from home from the duo2.
I got mine through World of Satellite who delivered next day for a great price (Not on back handers, honest).
I don't think you can go wrong with the duo2, if there's a better box for the money i'd be surprised.

Thanks Master G for the tips however I have no idea on telnet so I've been messing with all sorts of settings which I also have no idea about!

Anyway got it working eventually with a VU+ easy load piece of software which connected straight away with my VuDuo! Managed to find the right folder and did a good old copy and pate and hey presto!!! I then tried my filezilla again and it still won't connect just states

Status: Connection attempt failed with "EHOSTUNREACH - No route to host".
Error: Could not connect to server"

Strange as I have the correct IP for the vuduo with username as root and password as vuplus. (exactly the same as I used in the Vu+ easy load software).

I used the Vix image and even with the usb drive added it still crashed every now and again!! Looks like I'll try the Blackhole.

Had a crash with the VIX image (not the first time) and on rebooting the box just froze and the screen went green! Re installed the Vix image with usb but when i come to ftp (Filezilla) into the vuduo i get the error -

Connection attempt failed with "EHOSTUNREACH - No route to host". Could not connect to server.

I'm using root as username and vuplus as password.

It's crashed before but I manged to FTP it with no probs!

Any help/pointers will be gratefully appreciated!

Sussed it. The FTP setting on my box was disabled! On to the next problem!

Tried with DHPC on and off.

Tried with Primary DNS and IP Address. Using VIX image but can't get Filzilla to connect to my box!

Using root and vuplus in Filezilla.

Firstly what an excellent site, managed to get this far but am now stuck!

When connecting filezilla to my vu duo i get the massage : Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server".

I'm using my IP with username: root and no password

Any help would be gratefully received.
