    Hi

I'm streaming my Ultimo to another Ultimo outside the house.

I´ve just added the serviceID as a ip-service to the channel list on the receiving Ultimo.

All the wan´s are at least 100/100 with low ping times but I do still experience some stuttering/breakups.
When using a old DM800 at the receiving end it´s 99,9% stable with no hick-ups.

I´m wondering if there is some kind of setting on the receiving Ultimo that could be altered to improve stability, e.g. increasing the receiving buffer ?

Any kind of help and/or inputs will be highly appreciated - thank you.

I am not sure of a solution, but just wondering how you use VLC to constantly stream the current channel being watched when the channel changes?

I don't... It was just for testing purposes to see if the IP->QAM unit could handle the stream.
I just made VLC receive a channel from the VU+ using the service ID.

this is the only one i know of but its for e2 to e2

Thanks for the tip. I don't think this plugin will work for my needs.

For info... I just got hold of a unit which can do HDMI->DVB-C and it seems to be the solution.
I will need a splitter for the HDMI output and the picture quality on the DVB-C side is slightly lower compared to the IP->DVB-C box but still good.
This solution also has the advantage that I will get the OSD and menus on the DVB-C signal also.

    Hi

I would like to distribute what my VU+ Ultimo is currently showing around my house.
I have a unit which converts a ip-stream into a DVB-C signal and this is distributed in my local coax net and works fine.

My problem is that the only way to get a stream from my Ultimo to the IP->DVB-C box is to connect to the Ultimo using VLC on a laptop and then let VLC stream to the the IP->DVB-C box.

What I need is some kind of function/plugin on the ultimo which constantly streams the current channel being watched. In the old Enigma 1 days there was a plugin called Zapstream that could do this, but this apparently doesn't support E2.

Any suggestions how to solve this ? - Thank you.

    Hi

Beside from the boxkey you need another key that will have to be "jtagged" out of the original box.
As far as I have understand, you also need an original box that hasn't been "to much" updated since it isn't possible to do the jtag with the newest firmware.
And at last you need a cardserver that support both boxkeys. I don´t remember which one at the moment.

    Hi

    I have a "strange" problem....

When programming a timer on my Ultimo running VIX3 using the Webif the recording fails.
All data is correct when I press ok in the webinterface, but when the recording has failed it show op in the timerlist with start 1 minut BEFORE end ?

Everything is okay when I program a timer using the EPG and remote.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi musogeek

    Thank you for your reply.

By accident I did actually find the setting to change the function of the 0-key to what I'm use to.

I see that it's called "panic-button" and I guess this might come in handy if there is several users in the house :snicker:
But in my case the zap function is what I like.

    Hi

I have installed Openvix3.0 on my Ultimo and it's almost running perfect.

But... I'm use to when pressing the 0-key it normally zaps between the 2 last channels, this is not working, when pressing 0 it just returns to channel 1 in my program list, and it also cleares my zap history on the arrow keys.

I have been looking thrue the settings 100 times but can't find anywhere to chance this ?

    Thank you in advance

    Hi

Some years ( actually a lot of years ) ago I made a small pc-program called DreamBoxRemote 1.3 for controlling my DM7000 from my pc without having to have the web interface open.

Now I have upgraded to a VU+ Ultimo and would like to port my DreamBoxRemote to the VU+

On the DM7000 I controlled the Enigma sending commands from telnet on the box e.g.

    Code
    wget http://localhost/cgi-bin/rc?108
    or
    wget http://localhost/cgi-bin/rc?402

It seems that the Enigma2 is a little different but I have only been able to find documentation for the Enigma2 on Dreamboxes.
Does any of your guys know where to find the commands to be used with the VU+ ?

When I have the commands it will be an easy job to port my "remote" to be used with the VU+..... i hope :baffle:

    Thank you in advance.
