My files (page 18 here) still work for OpenPli2.1 and OpenPli4.0. Just need to follow instructions with plenty of time. Crucial troubleshooting bit I extracted for post #181 on top of page 19 of this thread.

People who installed TSmedia later versions 5.x and their OnDemand works but does not stream, upload librtmp.so.0 file below to usr/lib/

and check OnDemand functionality before and after upgrading TSmedia in future.

As this will be the norm in future with ISPs, we need an ongoing sticky thread for Unblocking 1Channel with the latest ipk fixes in the OP being updated like those kindly posted here, thanks.

I'm on OpenPli4.0 on dm800se clone too. Just checked all four of BBC channels (on second page of listings). All four working beautifully in HD (upto 1280 pixels). Anyone having trouble please read the last 4 or 5 pages of this thread and use my files/instructions or those of Abu Baniaz which is easier for OpenPli2.1/3.0/4.0 (and possibly others) and you'll see it works for those of us who posted here or didn't. Or if it stops, could be image/plugins/files are corrupted and need reinstall. BBC have not changed the links yet, if they do the plugin dev will kindly update, thanks to him and the team BTW.

I upgraded my image from a Openpli2.1 to 4.0 version, 1.6oe to 2.0oe. The install files in the resource thread did not work for BBC. I tweaked them abit (can not remember) and got half BBC episodes working again but half not working, ITV worked fine. I then did a clean image install and installed my old way and files for 1.6oe (on this and last page) and suddenly everything worked again for my upgraded new 2.0oe (Openpli4.0) too. Abu baniaz files are based on mine as can be seen but I never tried his which should be the same and as before used my own ones posted here too. Hope this helps Openpli 3.0/4.0 on 2.0oe versions users.

If in a few weeks people come across this thread and finally get little channel icons in CENTRE of screen from ipk install just replace the OnDemand folder in Extensions with the OnDemand folder in zipfile: files\latest working OnDemand\OnDemand in Extensions. The central little channel icons versions is old and missing functions, final version should have big icons on right as in source page:

In BBC categories might fail due to link changes but go to BBC1, 2, 3, 4 on page 2 of list.
In Plugin homepage (big icons in right of screen): Menu button: set PREFERRED STREAM QUALITY: HD
    Search at top works fine

Check resolution while playing in menu: information: service
    Re-wind 1=20secs 4=1min 7=5mins
    Forward 3=20secs 6=1min 9=5mins

Cant get it to work , I'm using GJStroom's latest open pli 2.1 for dm800se , followed all the steps , there was a couple of the ipk's wouldnt install but thats because they were already included with the image , the fault I'm getting is

    bad magic number in usr/lib/python2.6/htmlentitydefs.pyo

I just updated my GJStroom's latest open pli 2.1 and it's still working.

The error you're getting means you're nearly there, I did say in first step that at the end you might have to re-copy those 4 files to python2.6 folder, you need the right htmlentitydefs.pyo which might have been overwritten during process, do the same if other files.pyo give errors then it will show in plugin, let us know if it works or not. Quote:

    first,
    copy the python2.6 & 2.7 folder files
    location: /usr/lib/python2.6 & 2.7 (also in location.txt which you don't copy)
(you might have to re-copy those 4 files to python2.6 folder at end again!)

OK, I uploaded install files and instructions of my working Ondemand (BBCi, ITV, Irish, Dutch) in HD that has been working for 6 months for me. Even before that I had HD in 2012.

Remember in Plugin homepage (big icons in right of screen):
Menu button: set PREFERRED STREAM QUALITY: HD

If you get little channel icons in the centre of screen instead of big icons in right of screen then you didn't finish my steps by overwriting the OnDemand folder in Extensions folder with my one in last step! Follow all steps. Works for GJStroom's 2.1 OpenPli, can't promise for other 1.6oe images, try.

    Ondemand-openpli2.1.zip (2,63 MB) - uploaded.net

hi can somebody help me as i have been reading this thread and do not understand a lot of aspects of it as i am quite new to this i have a dm800hd clone running open pli 2.1 i would like to install the ondemand plugin but i am not sure which file i should be installing onto my box iv heard talk of dependencies in the thread but dont understand what these are and if i need them could somebody help me thanks

I figured a procedure and combination of files that worked on GJStroom's fab Open Pli 2.1.

I can upload a guide and necessary files when I have time, if people are interested ?

Thanks mate, they do not keep up the 4od properly anyway, not missing much. Used it before mainly to watch Father Ted. There are thousands of tv classics on the new 1channel including that one and almost anything classic, New or from seventies, mainly from the states from taxi to Seinfeld to star trek. Some are not listed but can be searched in 1channel like the Larry Sanders show. Most people just go into the movie section I guess but that section is just as good. Thanks to all the guys who had a hand in this, fab for bbc & benidorm :D

Hi guys, thanks for the files. My BBC & 4od suddenly stopped loading links. After an hour of tinkering got the BBC working with some files from this thread again. I am running gjstroom's OpenPLi-2.1 for dm800se. The version of OnDemand I had working fine for about three months let me have proper HD for BBC. Before loading a program it showed me lists of servers (Akamai etc.) with the higher def resolutions at top. This new one has a menu settings, great. Also 4od is still not working does anyone know if it is going to be fixed and released?

Thanks for the fix files again.
