    Dear all,

I have browsed several forums without luck, hope anyone is willing and able to point me in the right direction.
If this post is in the wrong section dear mods, my apologies in advance.

I installed OpenATV 4.0 on my VU Duo yesterday, everything went well, i succeeded to install OScam on it but I am not sure where to put the config files
And do I need the sub directory Oscam like Pli /etc/tuxbox/config/oscam or are the files copied directly into the directory

CCcam.cfg should go into /var/usr/keys I have heared, but does this also apply for Oscam config files?

    Thanks a lot

Good choise ILM16, I am working with a Duo for two years now, and never regreted it.
This machine is worth every penny you spend on it

Apologies not requiered arcadia....actually it is more easy nowdays then it was in the old days...you had to do all the programming yourself.
Now when you configure everything right the boxes do the job.
Don't give up you'll get there eventually

And guys don't thank me so much ( I'll get shy :) ) I am just doing what you all do try to help somone to the best knowledge, but appreciation accepted and appreciated.

Caz is right...I would like to give it a positive swing... you are in the good direction Arcadia, asking is good but the basics of this hobby is trial and error.
To encourage you.. about three years ago I bought my first linux based box and the only understandible thing for me wat the on and off switch on it.
Reading your postst I get the feeling you are a bit lost and actually affraid to mess up any further than it already is.

But don't worry everything that messes up can be fixed .... by reading ant trying you will eventually start to understand how things work.

Don't be affraid m8... for example if you don't know how to setup your coordinates for usals just ask how it is done, try if you don't succeed come back and tell where you are stuck... this hobby is like learning to walk...fall and start over again.
We will help you because we all have been there but it depends on your own effort you put into it.

    Good luck m8 :)

Ok try to do next thing

Send your motor to 0 do that manually on the motor it self and reset your motor by sticking a paper clip into the reset hole
Allign the dish to the satellite closest to south ( Sirius 4.8e or Thor 0.8W

    then do the following

    Menu->Settings->Find Services->Tuner Configuration->Ok->Simple-> Rotor
put in your coördinates Latitude Longtitude ->Ok
    Give it a try

did you get your problem sorted out arcadia?

To add something to previous post... if you have lets say 5 LNB's on a multifeed rail
and you have a second motorized dish it is possible to add the motorized dish to the advanced confiugarion.

    If you have 5 LNB's connected to a switch Like this.... LNB1=port1 LNB2= port2 LNB3= port4 LNB5 port 5

Than you can connect your motorized dish to port 6 on your switch...

In that case you use in advanced settings DiSeqC 1.2 option
Give in your coodinates and configure it like lnb 6

That way you don't need an extra cable down to your receiver for your motirized dish, both systems can be used by one cable

    Regards,

    Wing

Lads sorry to interrupt you but for Usals you don't need the advanced option since you only use one LNB
You only use advanced DiSeqC when you use more than 4 LNB's on a Multifeed holder

    Go to Menu->Setup->Find Services->Tuner Setup

    Choose Rotor

    Set your Latitude and Longtitude

    I hope this will help

Send your motor to 0 , than reallign your dish to the satellite that is closest to the real south.
Check if your pole is still at level and if everything is still.
If that is the case you should be up and running in no time.

    Hi guys

Could any one be so kind to explain how to get a Debian Server working on a wireless dongle.

I am stuck with the following problem.
I want to setup a second server
I have a Debian Server running, connected by LAN cable to my router, since all ports on my router are used by other devices I want to get the second server to connect to the router by a wireless dongle.
If there is a step by step tut on how to do this it would help a lot

    Thnx all in advance

That;s correct mate after that you get a page in front of you there you click on firmware upgrade , browse to your nfi file and click flash
Afger flashing is done click on reboot and confgure your box.
Don't forget to save your cccam.cfg and your settings.
After configuration FTP back the config file and your settings list and you are up and running

Ok now we are getting somwhere
How are your LNB s configured
    A/B/C/D

I think you should use advanced and than Diseqc mode 1.1

In your tuner configuration go to Advanced mode

If Hispasat is on port 1 on your switch your configuration should be as follows

    Configuration mode Advanced
    Satellite 30 W LNB 1
    Priority Auto
    LOF Universal LNB
    Voltage mode Polarization
    Increased Voltage No
    Tone Mode Band
    DiseqC Mode 1.1
    Toneburst none
    Commited DiseqC command none
    Fast DiseqC no
    Sequence repeat no
    Command order commited uncomitted toneburst
    Uncomitted DiseqC command input 1
    DiseqC repeats None

So your next LNB put on position 2 and Uncomitted DiseqC command to input 2 and so on.
But first check if which lnb is on which port
If you have an e mail address pm it to me I will send you an excell sheet for the configurations.
I am pretty sure your tuner is misconfigured.
